  • Mu cats love the automatic laser pointer (turn it on and it goes in random patterns for 15 minutes).. And I know that sounds lazy on my part but is an awesome and inexpensive idea. http://www.amazon.com/FroliCat-BOLT-Interactive-Laser-Pet/dp/B0021L8W6K/ref=sr_1_3?s=pet-supplies&ie=UTF8&qid=1336785538&sr=1-3 My older cat…
  • Logging calories made me realize that I am not satiated after a fast food meal but I have burned up a half day's worth of calories on it. It is totally not worth it to me anymore. After not eating fast food for many months when I had a Quarter Pounder the other day I was not impressed, the taste is not as satisfying…
  • this is a problem, this is what I am going through right now, however the issues we are facing are a result of other emotional problems. Based on what you have said it is possible that he may be sneakier than you know and just not using facebook to contact local women.
  • I work in a probation office, I am sitting in an office all day. I do have to get up and move around within the office quite a bit but I just go to the gym directly after work to make up for being sedentary.

  • My hubby was the same way when we joined the local gym. He has always been in good shape up until we met and he was no longer in the military, so he was all gun ho about getting back in shape. It would make me frustrated that he would not go to the gym with me. I finally just gave up talking about it and did my own thing…
  • Bad: self defeating (mom, I am working to change this on my weight loss journey), bad mouth (dad) good: dedicated (dad, has run his own business for at least the past 25 years) and quick qit (mom) This could be good or bad, but I let a lot of sh!it roll off my back (dad). I cannot understand why some people (like my…
  • I have the Polar FT4, mine even works in the pool in water aerobics classes (just have to make sure the strap is pretty tight). I have always had reliable readings outside of the water, except when I ran a 10k I forgot to tighten the strap after getting smaller. I love it and you forget it is there after a few minutes.
  • I feel this way too sometimes, my husband will literally sit at home all day and watch a marathon of Lost or play a video game. I cannot stay still anymore or it drives me crazy. I am more confident and outgoing and it I don't sit at home and call out for delivery food.
  • I just got a new pair of running shoes for getting under 200. When I get to 175 (current goal weight, Ill see how I feel when I get there) am doing a boudoir photo shoot. I don't typically reward for every 5 or 10 lbs lost.
  • Crunchy Almond Butter Tatziki (to go with their Chicken Tikka Masala frozen meals) Jalapeno and cilantro hummus Brown Rice Spaghetti I am also a fan of Almond Milk instead of Dairy Milk and they have the best prices (I buy Almond Breeze)

  • I have been in this situation in 2005 I lost 30 and regained 40... it was lame. The one thing that has been the best for me to learn was consciously stopping the negative talk. I always would call myself bad things like a failure and ugly, making an effort to say to yourself (outloud even if you want to) is "no you arent a…
  • My husband asked me last night if I thought he was a bad influence, and I honestly told him "sometimes yes" because when I am tired after work and he suggest Chinese takeout... sometimes I cave. It is hard and I know he wants to be healthy (but is not taking the opportunities that we have readily available) so I have told…
  • Mine is a picture I took last winter and I thought it was pretty.. Plus i am gaining self-love as i lose weight. :)
  • Skinny cow mint ice cream sandwich and pink champagne (yeah the whole bottle but I worked out hard today :))
  • HA I want to get a bulldog and name it Ham Sandwich.
  • for me: Control (understanding I CAN control what I eat and how it affects my body, and how low lack of control leads to binging and not going to the gym)
  • 1/2 C. Chobani 2% plain greek yogurt 3/4 c. frozen pineapple chunks a few drops of almond or vanilla extract... BEST SNACK!
  • I am from "The Capital of the Confederacy" aka Richmond, Va and everyone thinks we are super Southern, I don't own a truck, shotgun nor have I ever been hunting. Though I do have a bit of a twang on certain words. edit: people also think you will get killed if you walk around at night... not nessecarily a misconception. I…
  • My husband suffers from this from his time in the military. It is so hard, wanting to help, knowing I cannot change the things he thinks about constantly. He gets upset because he thinks I "expect things to change overnight"... I don't expect him to ever "just get over it" but I just want him to seek the necessary help.
  • Hospitalized with a panic attack in high school, my parents never pushed treatment or therapy. Battled anxiety and depression and made a suicide attempt in my early teens. I have taken Celexa which didn't do anything for me, so I stopped that a few years ago.. Also I have been given Amphetamine Salts for lack of energy and…
  • I used to have "Fire Engine" Red hair but I worked at Old Navy so eventhough I was working with the public it wasn't an issue. Customer's (some, probably not all) thought it was cute, kids liked it... I guess I think people tend to think you are more approachable when you intentionally do something wacky with your hair, it…
  • Hey, I am Sarah. My husband and I met in 2009. I was around 230, he was around 205 when we met. After being together a while we both packed on weight, ordering out, making burgers and potatoes. My husband got to his highest during our relationship and weighed in around 230-240, he is former Marine Corps and National Guard…
  • Most of the time my husband will eat what I make. He does like my cooking and will eat healthy stuff that I make (like mashed cauliflour instead of mashed potatoes, grilled tuna etc). A lot of time I get home kinda late from the gym (I go right after work) and he will have eaten a whole pizza or something else random. If I…

  • Ugh I hate when my husband says this, its like "put me on a treadmill and Ill drop all of it fast"... last time he said that to me I said "do it then".
  • My husband has gained about 25ish pounds since we met and doesn't seem to care. He was super fit when he was in the military and acts like he wants to workout. We both have a membership to the YMCA and I bought him a 6 month membership to a Ju Jitsu class but has not used either one. It is frustrating because I feel like…
  • My Polar FT4 is water resistant up to like 30 meter depth? It works most of the time in the water, you just have to make sure the chest strap is tight enough around your ribcage so you have consistent contact with your skin.
