  • I have been with PF for about a year. I am pretty consistent with going for a few months then trailing off. Right now I am on 3 days weights / 2 days cardio. I know from real weightlifters that I shouldn't be using Smith Machines (barbell machines), and I should go to a different gym if I am looking to lift.. but honestly…
  • total desk jockey, but I work on the 11th floor of a building so I take the steps down and elevator back up when I need a break from the desk. I think I would die if I tried going back up the steps all the way. I only made it to the 5th floor when I took the steps after we had a fire alarm and then were allowed back…
  • I have tried occupying my mind with something else when I feel the boredom set in which would lead me to mindless eating to fill the time. Crafts, video games, leisurely walk outside, reading... something, anything to keep me from walking back to the fridge to see if there is something I want to eat (not need to eat).
  • quit a month and a half ago, it has made a big difference.
  • Quit just over a month ago. By choice, but I still had to do it. I had been drinking regularly since my late teens (I'm 33 now). It was not helping my life and my health goals.. The resulting weight loss has been a great benefit. Keep it up!!
  • https://ndb.nal.usda.gov/ndb/ USDA Nutrient database will give you information on different preparations of things such as steamed vs. raw broccoli
  • I am in the process of being approved for sleeve. Projected surgery is Feb 2019 (12 month pre-op program required by my insurance). Feel free to add if you'd like, food diary is open to friends - but Ive only gotten back on tracking recently
  • I mix a tablespoon with a scoop of my chocolate protein shake, helps thicken it to be more like a smoothie than watery protein drink.
  • I started using StrongLifts 5x5 app in August and I love it. I am not a newbie to weights in general, but I am new to barbell workouts. This app can really work no matter your capability when you start. You have 5 different moves that the app pre-sets as alternating over 3 days a week (squat, overhead press, deadlift, row…
  • Hi Sarah, I'm Sarah also. I feel like I go about the same routine. I get really motivated, get on MFP, get in the gym... for about a month. Then life happens, work, kids (my bf's kids that don't live with him full time, but still exhausting to be around 3 kids under 6). I lose my motivation, gain 5lbs, hate that I gave up…
  • Rude people will always be rude. I don't WANT people in the background of my selfies (if I ever take them).. but she obviously was being a UNT with a capital C. Your body is your own and is no one else's business, it may hurt to feel like someone is making fun of you, but you are doing better for yourself by exercising.…
  • Anything from Cheesecake Factory. More like cottage cheese thigh factory!
  • I lost 70lbs in a medical weight loss study from September 2011- Jan 2013. 2013 was a horrendous year, bought a house, lost a pet, bought a car, left my husband.. I gained back 30lbs. I am mad at myself for allowing stress to make me lose focus. My Ex was also a huge food saboteur and my road to weight regain really…
  • Sugar Free coffee mate (any flavor but Pumpkin Spice is AMAAAZING) and splenda. 30 calories for two TBSP of creamer. yumm
  • I've been overweight since I was a child, it (and I) grew out of control. I was 185lbs in 5th grade. I hated myself, had no confidence and used food and humor to mask my depression. I assumed no guy would want me, so I just became the self-depreciating unattractive friend. (If you can't be pretty, be funny?). I know my…
  • I add a bit of nutritional yeast to give a cheesy flavor in my faked potatoes.
  • I mix PB2 (the flavor that has chocolate) with greek yogurt, i love it. PB2 can go in to a ton of different recipes, obviously eating it dry makes your mouth stick together.
  • I had a co-worker that I hadn't seen in a couple of years tell me not to lose any more weight because I would look sickly... I am still, by definition, obese at my current weight of 181.. But because the last time she saw me was around the 240lb range it was just shocking to her I guess.
  • I use grapeseed oil in a lot of recipes, it is cheaper than olive oil
  • I havent really noticed any changes due to temp, but then again I am not OCD about my weight.. Any variations I assume are due to water retention, food being in my belly etc. I have tested my weight a couple of times in a row to check to see the consistency and it is always the same when I do that. For the general purposes…
  • I am proud that I tried a new class tonight (advanced cardio kickboxing). I was worried that I was going to be the only new person which is why I put it off for so long, but there was another girl who had never taken the class so it was ok. Great sweat session!
  • I have the "EatSmart Precision GetFit Digital Body Fat Scale w/ 400 lb. Capacity & Auto Recognition Technology" (This is the official title that amazon uses) I love it. You can step right on and it can recognize myself or my husband since you can create multiple profiles with it. It also analyzes body fat percentage, body…
  • two weeks is fast. When I got Alan he and the older cat Mosby did not get along. But now it has been exactly a year since I got Alan and they are best friends now (they were pretty good friends after a couple of months).. they snuggle, lick each other and will fight like siblings for my attention.
  • There needs to be a group for this or something. I am at 180 right now and my overall goal is 160.. so I want to hit my goal weight by October 24 for my trip to New Orleans... I've never lost 10lbs in a month so I am worried.
  • Blue cheese and the garlic & herb are my fav. The sundried tomato is my least fav. I love it in place of sliced cheese on sandwiches, burgers and crackers. It spreads really easily and is addicting!
  • For me.. running is 6mph.. to which I can only do in few minute bursts.. I def. had to "jog" first which was like 4.5mph, my short chubby legs had to acclimate to the idea of moving faster than they ever had before. Anything that that gets a sweat going is awesome either way!
  • Girl the best thing I found in my entire life is a rechargeable toy.. WORTH IT! Power getting low? plug in for 30 minutes to get you through a pinch. lol
  • I have had mine since Tuesday. I do love it. I log my food on MFP and then let it integrate to the Fitbit website (the fitbit food database is not very expansive). Then I allow the Fitbit site to track my exercise calories (I log certain activities with my HRM - but the calorie estimate from fitbit was pretty close). I…
