Couldn't have lost my weight without my elliptical. Oh, and MFP of course! Yes, it was my only source of cardio.

I too have a scale addiction! I weigh myself 3 - 4 times every day. First thing in the morning, when I get home from work, and before I go to bed. I just can't break the habit!

Saw this today from another website... http://www.sparkpeople.com/resource/exercises.asp?exercise=23 Looks like it could help!

Breakfast - low fat brown sugar cinnamon PopTarts (who am I kidding with the sugar?!?!) Lunch - Turkey sandwich with mayo, cheese and chips (usually Cheetos) Dinner - Salad with grilled chicken and half a bottle of salad dressing, crackers, then something sweet after - chocolate candy, cookies, cake, whatever I could get…

I'd say do it if you feel up to it. Your body will tell you when you've had enough!

From the Raleigh-Durham area, but I lived in Charlotte a few years ago. Welcome!!!

There's a very helpful website called Calorie Count: http://caloriecount.about.com/cc/recipe_analysis.php You enter the recipe, and it calculates the nutritional information. Hope this is of some use for you!

My favorite cookie! Thanks for sharing your recipe. Can't wait to try it!

If you have less weight to lose, you will burn fewer calories than someone with more weight to lose. I too can only get about 550 burned in 60 minutes. Sucks...

I do weigh myself every day, but I'm prepared to see the scale move anywhere from 2 - 3 lbs. I don't sweat that because I know the number will come back down the next day. I use the scale as a tool to keep me on track. BUT, you have to accept that the numbers could be different from day to day, depending on water intake,…

Welcome to the best site EVER! I'm 47 and in the best shape of my entire life! You can do this, just need to push harder! Good luck!

OMG YES!!! I reached my goal weight in September of last year, and have been successfully maintaining since then. BUT, I am now experiencing binges - which I have NEVER had before I reached my goal weight. I'm still struggling to figure out how to contain these episodes. Haven't found the magic button just yet...

Most definitely, all during my school years. Tortured as a child! Ruined my self-esteem for life. I was called 'hamhock' by one of the boys in my homeroom. Yeah...first thing every morning... I don't still see myself as fat, though, but my self-esteem never recovered.

are peacocks in this category??

Every morning at 4:30 am, I'm wondering how the heck I'm going to get through that workout. But, every morning, I DO! And, I feel such a great sense of accomplishment. Plus, I'm so energized afterwards, it really helps get me through the day.

What I hate is that when you have less to lose, you burn fewer calories. Dammit!!!

LOVE this site! Couldn't have lost my weight without it!!! Good luck! And WELCOME!!!

OMG - isn't that the BEST stuff? We have it with steamed spiced shrimp... LOVE IT!!!!

LOVE HG recipes - they are easy and usually only make 1-2 servings, which works out perfectly for me and DH. She has a TV show on the Food channel, new season starts this weekend. If you don't have her books, you can go to this website, find an episode of interest, and get her recipes from there.…

I'm not a serious runner (yet), so I bought mine from Target. Absolutely a GREAT purchase. I sweat like crazy, and the shorts with the built-in liners work out perfectly for me!

I'm 47 and suffer from hypothyroidism, but I am in the best shape I have ever been! I started cutting back on my desserts, and the weight started to come off slowly. I joined MFP, logged what I was eating and saw that I was still putting a ton of sugar into my body. Until I started cutting back on my sugar, upping my…

Oh, I can't take fish oil. I tried one and burped fish all morning. Now, I like fish, mind you, but not 2, 3, 20 times after I eat it! Check out Megared - see if it does similar things for your body: http://www.schiffvitamins.com/product_detail.asp?id=196

I do have 3 or 4 of the Hungry Girl cookbooks. She also has a show on Food network. You can find some of her recipes here: http://www.hungry-girl.com/show

Hungry Girl has tons of recipes, simple and easy. And, her recipes usually make 1 or 2 servings, so there's not a ton of leftovers. Did I mention simple?? I'm not a cook either, but her recipes are so easy to follow. And, DH likes them too!

I definitely suffer from sugar cravings. In the last week, I've started making some hot cocoa, even though our temps have been in the 100's! I mix unsweetened vanilla almond milk with cocoa and some splenda. It's just sweet and chocolate enough, and very filling.

I'm not sure what you're eating before doing your crunches, but I tried eating a banana before my cardio workout, and my stomach felt really bloated. I tried drinking a smoothy, and I've not had any problems. It seems that I can't have banana before my workout!

Thank all that is HOLY - I'm working at home today and don't have to put up with anyone's crap!!
