I started Jan 2012 and have just now lost 48 lbs. I'm nearly at my "goal" weight of 145 but may not get there as I'm building a lot of muscle and lowering my body fat. I started at 197 lbs and walked about 3 miles a day for the first 6 months or so, then I added on elliptical and bootcamp 3 days a week around June of last…

I'm 5'6 and 150lbs, I'm trying to get to about 22% body fat so I figure i'll probaly weigh around 145 since I'm 23.5% right now. I have my MFP set at 1950 to account for my exercise and such. I average about 3500 calories burned a week in workouts and walking and aim for about .5 Lb loss a week. My starting weight was 197…

My husband is 47, and we started using Insanity last year. He was only using the elliptical every day for his exercise before that. Well since we started Insanity back in October, his abs are pretty much a six pack and the old man booty is starting to perk up. We completed the whole program, and still use it 3-5 times a…

I have pics in my profile of how I look now at 151. I'm in a size 6 or 8. I'm 5'6, 37 yo. I started at 197 size 14/16. I forgot to take pictures of myself when I started, I don't think I believed last year that I would come as far as I have. The first semi nude was when I started insanity at 160 to what I am now. I haven't…

I've completed Insanity back in December of 2012 and have kept going with it since then. I've never stopped the DVD,but do take breaks when my heart rate hits about 170. My husband and I now do the 3 month two dvd's Monday/Weds/Friday and the ab workouts on Tues/Thursday. I can do a whole lot more then I used to, but it…

I had the same problem, but then I started the Insanity workout. My abs aren't quite a 6 pack yet, but they are getting closer. Mind you i'm nearly 40 and have had 4 kids (the youngest is 3). If you look in my profile you will see what my abs looked like back in October 2012 till now. I did the full 60 day program and did…

When I started Insanity, I waited till after my vacation to start it. I haven't stopped using it since then and that was back in October. Just don't make excuses to not start it after you get back. For me it was about momentum, I didn't want to start it, then stop right away. You know yourself best though.

My Husband and I switched from smoking to vaping a year ago and are very happy with it. We have tried many batteries/juices etc and have landed on the Itazte mvp with a variable voltage battery, he buys the liquid at wicked vapor (i think). He's been quite the alchemist with this stuff and has learned how to clean the…

To me it's pointless to subtract that. My heartrate stays up for a while after working out which I don't log, so it seems to me it all works itself out.

Well I'm not heavy, weigh 152 and am not using the over inflated MFP number. I have burned nearly 1K calories doing Max Circuit of Insanity. My average heart rate during it is 140 and I may max it at 177 during the Mountain Climbers. I wear a heart rate monitor to track the calories. I'm 37 years old so when I notice my…

My family loves this recipe. We probably eat it at least once a week. I plugged it into MFP and it came to 196 calories a serving, and this recipe makes about 4 servings. Ingredients 2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed 3 tablespoons olive oil 2 teaspoons packed brown sugar 1 1/2 tablespoons paprika 1/2 teaspoon ground…

I am able to get in lots of protein by eating 2 cups of Greek yogurt every day, 6 oz of chicken breast on my lunch salad, and I eat around 6 oz of some type of meat at dinner. I also tend to eat beans as a side for dinner (black beans, pinto beans etc). I also drink a whey protein drink on Insanity days.

Last night was Max Interval Circuit. I felt like I did better then I did the first couple of times. Only 11 more workouts to go till I complete the whole 90 days. Hubby and I think we will do another round, possibly another 2 rounds to get the build and lose the body fat.

Get good cross trainers! I started with running shoes and oh boy were my knees and ankles killing me. Stay with the form, that's more important then going as fast as you can. The speed will come after using good form for a while. Keep a towel close by :) Drink a protein drink afterwards. I really believe that helped me…

When my husband and I first started tracking on MFP the sodium intake was one of the first things we noticed was crazy high. We would eat a lot of lean cuisines, low cal salad dressings, boxed rices and jar spaghetti sauce. We started reading about sodium and found that you really shouldn't eat much above 1500 a day, and…

I work a desk job so I put sedentary then just log all of my exercising and eat them back. It seems to work for me. I hope I answered you correctly, wasn't totally sure of what you were asking.

Hi there. I just did day two yesterday with my husband and I can tell you I took several breaks. I thought I wouldn't have a problem with it because I've been doing a fitness bootcamp for 3 months, but boy was I wrong. I took before pictures and am hoping to see some serious results at the end like I've seen on many other…

Hi there. I have a dehydrator and make fruit leathers. I haven't added any sweetener to them and they came out plenty sweet enough. We used grapes/watermellon/bananas and apples. We also didn't add any lemon juice. They turned out with just the right amount of sweet and tart.

I've weighed it out pre-cooked then put it in a measuring cup afterwards and it's right at about a cup. 5 oz cooked=2 oz uncooked. P.S. A digital scale is so worth it. I bought one that measures in grams and oz plus it has a Tare weight as well. We started with a non digital scale and it worked, but was a pain.

My husband and I just switched to Unsweetened Almond Milk Vanilla. It actually gives the coffee a nice flavor. Originally we switched to fat free powder and non fat milk powder that we mixed together, but since we've been trying to get cleaner we gave the Vanilla unsweetened almond milk a go.

I tried to fix the links, but didn't have any luck.

Both my husband and I work a full time job and have two youngsters under 4 yo. I will make up a couple of bags of beans and a huge batch of home made spaghetti sauce one saturday or sunday every couple of months, and freeze them. They usually will make about 16 low sodium/lower calorie side dishes and about 8 weeks worth…
