  • I've done all three and also have Insanity Max 30. Personally I think that one is the best bang for your buck. Insanity is a bit too long with all the stretching, Max 30 cuts all that out and just has the hard stuff. There are multiple dvd's to work on your pushups and strength. If you can't buy that one, then my first…
  • ehhh, screw him. work out, get in good shape and get a better man!
  • Well start NOW. Don't wait, and don't beat yourself up for the past. I'm sure many of us have started and stopped many times till it finally stuck. I know I have. But now I'm going on three years of doing better. Good luck.
  • I love greek yogurt and now make my own from scratch. We mix it with dark chocolate powder, stevia and blueberries. Very tasty and high in protien.
  • I have a tanita scale that puts me at 37.5% body fat. My hand held Omiron puts me at 28.1% body fat. 2 weeks ago I had my body fat tested using the hydrostatic method (dunked in water) and I was at 28.2% body fat. I'd have to say the hand held seems to be more accurate. I have the hand held set to athletic , since I…
  • Fish, quinoa and beans. Chicken breasts, roasted sweet potatoes, green beans. Spaghetti with ground turkey, and half of a turkey italian sausage, whole wheat pasta. Pork chops, roasted white potatoes, asparagus Ropa Viega (spelling?) over brown rice with plantains Turkey burritos with black beans and either quinoa/brown…
  • My hubby is 5'11 and 180 and is wearing a 32" waist. According to the calipers, his body fat is 10% and he's 49 years old.
  • I do this as well. I have found that approx. a cup of cooked spaghetti is equivalent to 2oz of dry.
  • To me the calorie amounts they say to eat in T25 are rather low. Especially going from Alpha to Beta round. I say go with what MFP has you eating to lose weight then eat back 80% of your calories burned. That's what I do, and it seems to work for me. I say this, because according to my HRM I burn quite a bit, and I'm…
  • According to the Scooby calculator, to gain muscle and lose fat you are supposed to eat at your TDEE. I've read somewhere that if you are losing weight (eating at a deficit) you have will lose some of your muscle mass (I believe it's approximately 10%). Since you say you aren't looking to lose any more weight, just eat at…
  • Well I've been working out at home the past two years, my kids were 4 and 2 when I started this. I basically put in rules while i'm doing it, and stick to it if they mess with me. Either they are grounded/time out or a privilege is taken away. It only took a few times before they quite bugging me throughout the workout. I…
  • I've done Insanity for about 9 months, moved to T25. I liked it alright, but felt that after doing insanity for so long, my fitness level went down a bit. I did like the Beta and the Gamma portion better then the alpha. I did T25 for about 6 months. I'm now using P90X3 and really like it. They have a nice combination of…
  • I suppose I don't do it often. Most of the year I'm at my calorie and exercise goals. A couple of times a year for about a week I tend to not log or really care what I eat, I may exercise depending on the location, but am not strict about it. The rest of the time I'm pretty good at keeping with my healthy eating and…
  • Beans, low sodium peanut butter, unsalted nuts.

  • Great job! You look terrific.
  • I liked T25 OK, but have been using P90x3 for the last six months and think I've seen better results/higher calorie burns, bigger muscle gains with that one. T25 is good though. Before those I did Insanity for about 9 months which I saw big results from, but the hour long workouts were too long for me.
  • Ugh, had Ruby Tuesday's for dinner and ate way too much, but I've been exercising my butt off this week. Plus haven't gone out to dinner in months, so screw it. Momma didn't feel like cooking and cleaning!
  • I tried this recipe last weekend and subbed the butter with butter spray. It was a big hit with the family. We use Swai, now I have 2 ways to cook it. Thanks for the great recipe! I may try it with some grated Parmesan next time.
  • I buy super ripe ones, cut them in half then third them horizontally. I will the lay them out on cookie sheet sprayed with pam. Next i spray the tops with pam. Put them in a preheated 400 degree oven for 20 minutes, take them out, flip, spray the tops, put back in for 10 minutes. We eat them with Roja and brown rice.

  • You definitely should go onto the Gamma round when you finish. Even more strength training and you will be begging for speed 2.0 when you do Speed 3.0. I have finished all of it and am now doing P90x3, which I actually like better then T25.
  • Actually what you eat DOES matter. Eating massive amounts of sodium=water retention. God i'm so tired of people thinking what you eat doesn't matter as long as i'm at a deficit...if she just ate 1200 calories worth of gummy bears, that's ok? since she's at a deficit? It's healthy? Her body won't get all mucked up? mmmk…
  • I actually do see a difference in your pics, but all i'm saying is maybe you're retaining water too. I know when I go out to eat a lot, I bloat up like the good year blimp and my jeans will barely fit. Throw in that time of the month and you probably have the Atlantic ocean stored up in you. :). Watch your sodium/potassium…
  • Looking at your diary you seem to eat a lot of junk. Yes you are under calories, but jeez. Sonny's, taco bell, zaxbys etc...I only looked at a few days, but saw enough. You're probably just all bloated up. Cut out the going out to eat, and eat those calories in lower sodium, healthier options to lose the water weight.
  • I've made my own sausage with ground turkey and seasonings, and used skim milk for the gravy. Not much you can do for the biscuits though. The gravy tastes pretty good on toast though...
  • I eat 2 cups of Greek yogurt a day, 4 oz of chicken for lunch, whey protein powder after working out and some sort of meat/bean/fish for dinner and usually hit around 135g a day.
  • My family loves this recipe. We probably eat it at least once a week. I plugged it into MFP and it came to 196 calories a serving, and this recipe makes about 4 servings. Ingredients 2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed 3 tablespoons olive oil 2 teaspoons packed brown sugar 1 1/2 tablespoons paprika 1/2 teaspoon ground…
  • If you actually read the article, it's saying that eating too much sugar for a NON overweight person causes multiple health risks. " But in the new study, obesity didn't explain the link between sugary diets and death. That link was found even in normal-weight people who ate lots of added sugar" Too much of most things…
  • I second this! I wait for chicken breasts to go on sale (about once a month) and stock up. I bought a used freezer ($50) to store all of that meat and any containers of homemade spaghetti sauce, and homemade beans in. I buy my quinoa in bulk on amazon and it's much cheaper per oz then buying it in the grocery store, same…
  • I tried this too and didn't care for it either. I now just stir in 1/4 cup of dry oats into 6 oz of greek yogurt and let it sit for a couple minutes and eat. I think it tastes pretty good and doesn't take much time.
  • Sweet potatoes, greek yogurt, milk, most vegetables, fruits, beans, oat meal, white potatoes
