T25 for Beginners?

I'm 19 and a little overweight and I'm trying to find some sort of exercise/routine that I'll stick with. I've tried working out at gyms, but I get easily intimidated by the super fit gym-goers and I'm sort of lost when it comes to how long I should be jogging when I'm on my own and what my diet should consist of. I'm looking at home fitness DVDs right now, the already-planned workouts and meals are appealing, and it's one avenue of fitness I haven't tried yet. I really like the idea of a structured work out with a specific schedule (it eliminates some of the guess-work) in the privacy of my own home, and I was wondering if any of you have had great success with home fitness DVDs. More specifically, T25.
All the online reviews are full of praise, and several people in my situation have claimed it works. I know there's a modified version- is the workout doable for people like me? Any help is appreciated.

I liked T25 OK, but have been using P90x3 for the last six months and think I've seen better results/higher calorie burns, bigger muscle gains with that one. T25 is good though. Before those I did Insanity for about 9 months which I saw big results from, but the hour long workouts were too long for me.0

If you google it on youtube there are some free samples out there:

You might want to give them a try before going out and buying a whole DVD set? Also your local library might have some DVDs to borrow?
Best of luck

Shawn T puts a modified person in T-25 if you cant keep up. There will be times you wont even be able to do that and end up pausing the video to catch your breath and drink water. It gets easier over time but the first night will be a real wake up call of how bad of shape your in. The nutrition is super important if you want serious results. For me by the end of beta i couldn't wear any of my shorts i used to wear as they were too big. For a fitness video one of the better ones i have tried. Best of luck with your fitness journey.0
