  • Yogurt, egg sandwich fixins, cheese quesadilla's.
  • Yeah mornings probably could work for you since you don't have to be at work till 9am. I am at work by 730 am and get home around 5pm, have a 5 year old, and a 3 year old and work out with a dvd at home right after I get home with them. I'm now using P90x3 which is only a half hour, but its a big calorie burn and builds…

  • I've made this the original way the poster posted and loved it, so my husband and I doubled the recipe added about 4 Tblsps of dark chocolate unsweetened powder and sprinkled some dark chocolate chips on top. They taste just like the no bake cookies my mom used to make! I agree they can be high calorie, but we also found a…
  • Well we do a lot of what others have suggested. I will make 4lbs of beans (usually 2lbs of black and 2 lbs of 15 bean soup) and a giant vat of spaghetti sauce every few months and freeze dinner portions for easy meals. Sundays I will make 2 cups of quinoa and freeze it to heat up for a couple of sides during the week. My…

  • Gamma does have modifications on all but one the Speed 3.0. You can't modify all exercises in them but Tanya is modifying some of the jumping ones and push ups.
  • I mix dry oatmeal in my greek yogurt every day.

  • Whole wheat spaghetti with ground turkey and half of a turkey sausage. Huge batch of sauce was made a few weeks ago and should keep us in spaghetti sauce for a few months :) We pre-cook everything (but the pasta )so all we have to do heat it up when we get home for work.
  • Arbys: Medium Beef n Cheddar Medium Curly fries Horsey sauce Chocolate Turnover Total: Approx 1230 calories. I just LOVE the turnover so much. Just did it yesterday and probably do it twice a month. The other two weekends its Pad Thai and Thai fried rice. The rest of the time is my regular old food.
  • I know what you are saying. I'm 5'6 and weigh about 150 but mostly muscle at this point. I have had 4 kids with a weight gain of about 50-75 per kid so my stomach has been stretched to the limits. What's really started tightening it up has been doing Insanity. I started the program last October and the difference in my…
  • It's not just cardio. I'm nearly done with the Beta round (waiting on my gamma DVD's to come in) and there definitely some weight training in there. Even if you aren't using weights, using your own body weight is strength training and not just "cardio". I don't find it as hard as insanity, but i'm in maintenance mode and…
  • Sorry, but pretty much the only way I've found is to prepare everything myself. I make my own spaghetti sauce, bbq sauce, beans, salad dressing etc. I don't eat anything from a box or can unless it has zero or extremely low sodium. Even with doing this my sodium tends to be 1500-2000 a day, which isn't so bad as my…
  • I personally don't judge anyone with what they eat. My point was the excuses on why they allow their kids different foods. My children eat junk food sometimes as do I. Who's in control in the house, the parent or the kids? I get so tired of the "fussy" eater and the "picky" eater comments. The occasional junk food is no…
  • First let me say I'm a mother of 4 and step mother to 3. The excuses to feed kids garbage on here are just amazing...picky eaters, that's all they have on the kids menu. Blah, blah blah... Hey guess what, you don't HAVE to order from the kids menu, you can *gasp* order them something a bit more healthy from the adult menu…
  • Hi there. I did two full rounds of Insanity, then moved to doing the Max workouts 3 times a week for the next 4 months. I started T25 last week and like it alot. I thought it would be a piece of cake after insanity, but it's still pretty difficult and you feel a burn! I highly recommend it.
  • I started yesterday myself. Managed to do all the exercises without modification. Ended up burning 467 calories, not bad for a 25 minute workout!
  • 5'6 and currently weigh 148. I'm more looking for the bf% then the weight. I'm looking for 20% body fat, so where ever my weight is then is where I'll be. I'm currently 23% so I figure I'll probably weigh around 142 or so.
  • In the recovery week he focuses on strengthening your shoulders and hip flexors, which help for month 2. I've completed the full 60 day insanity and have continued doing it since then (going on 9 months now). It's only a week and your momentum won't slow, trust me! One other thing, someone advised to do the fit test on…
  • To me if you start eating healthy; lean meats, veggies, fruits and high fiber foods you will pretty much lower your calories, fat, carbs, sugar etc....So just move to healthy foods.
  • I don't know about rinsing your rice or pasta dishes off, as I totally stopped eating those pre-packaged rice and noodles because of the sodium content. There are lots of recipes out there that you can try to make those dishes more palatable, I make my own beans and put them on top of my rice. Also try using zero sodium…
  • Thank you to the two posters for the advice.
  • Seriously, i'm looking for some tips or advice. Any guidance is greatly appreciated.
  • Good for you! I completed the 60 day program back in December and have kept doing it because I love it so much and what it's done for my body!

  • As another poster said sweet potatoes and potatoes are good sources. I eat a large spinach/mushroom/chicken salad every day and have asparagus or green beans with dinner. Tomatoes and oranges are also good sources of potassium as well. I eat at least 3 servings of fruit. Cantaloupe has a ton of potassium in it. Greek…

  • When I researched sodium, I saw that the important factor is to have your potassium level be approx. double what your sodium intake is. I try to stay around 1500-2000 mg of sodium but shoot for about 4000 mg of potassium a day. I don't agree with the myth if you don't have high blood pressure don't worry about it, it's…

  • Yeah 10% is way too low for a woman. Google it and you'll see what healthy body fat ranges are for your age and sex. For me I'm trying to get around 20-22% body fat. I've been doing insanity and watching what I eat. I'm pretty close at 23.6% so I figure I have to lose about 4 more pounds to get to where I need to be. I eat…

  • My husband and I are cereal addicts too. We tried giving it up, but weren't successful. Now we try to limit what we buy and only have it as our snack at night. We weigh it and track it with our other food.
