  • I purchased Tylenol Acetaminophen Extra Stength, Rapid Blast Liquid Cherry, 8 Ounce at my drug store. The Tylenol name brand is about $8 and the store brand generic is about $6.
  • If you have trouble swallowing the pills, my dr. suggested liquid Tylenol. Tylenol is easier on the stomach than other headache meds, and the liquid is easiest to swallow. Feel better!
  • That's great! Each day will get better and better!
  • How exciting! I am 1 month post-op and the time has flown. I think everyone is different, I wasn't nervous or emotional, I was very calm just a peacefulness knowing there was a light at the end of the tunnel! Walk as soon as you can after surgery, it made a world of difference for me. Good luck, keep us updated!
  • I had the sleeve 2 weeks ago, and am amazed at how good I feel! Anyone who thinks surgery is the 'easy way' are simply uneducated! A comment like, 'do it the old-fashioned way with hard-work' REALLY?! Like anyone over weight hadn't thought of that! LOL! I am rockin' along with my sleeve! It has enabled me to keep my…
  • TODAY THE SCALE READ BELOW 200 lbs!!! I haven't seen that in over a decade!!! I am walking on air today!!! I know that is silly and it is 'just a number', but it is a number that has eluded me for so long!!!! Next goal in below 180!!!
  • I love Intek Evolution! You can read more about it here: http://inteknutrition.com/PRODUCTS/PROTEIN%20EVOLUTION/protein.html It is sold at Total Nutrition stores and if you go into the store they will let you sample flavors. The Unjury was just gross! And Unjury was more expensive than the Intek Evolution. Intek is…
  • This is the best answer on this page! Lapband = foreign object in your body Sleeve = No blockage causing like lap band, the portion of the stomach that controls hunger pangs is removed! Faster healing, faster weight loss Yes, there is alot to the equation, but that is what it boiled down for me. I choose the sleeve, I am 6…
  • I am not even 1 week off of the sleeve surgery. My doctor warned me that there would be plateus and the when they occur to increase my protein! He said, "Protein, Protein, Protein!" Muscle weighs more than fat and if you don't get enough protein you will lose muscle, but it doesn't weigh enough to make the scale move. And…
  • I am not even 1 week out from surgery, but I did the pre-op diet in prep for the surgery. I rely heavily on protein drinks! In my car I keep 2 or 3 bottled waters, and 2 shake mixers with the protein powder inside. When I get hungry I pour water into the mixer and drink. It keeps me from hitting a drive thru. good luck!…
  • Welcome Lisa! I had the Gastric Sleeve on Wednesday of last week, and feel great! I was off pain meds with in 48 hours of surgery. Best advice I would have is follow doctors orders. That include pre-op diet, getting off carbonated drinks, make your environment clean, and walking within 2 hours of surgery. I look forward to…

  • I am going in for the sleeve next week, I am so excited! I'm ready to see the scale start moving down!
  • Wonerful! Thank you Diane!
  • 2 weeks in . . . more to go! I'm the homeschool mom to 3 kiddos, we've been homeschooling for 10 years and love it. Glad to see a group for homeschool parents!
  • Hello all! I am new to the group. I am looking at lapband in mid January. I've been 100 pounds over weight for over a decade! I'm so nervous but the weight has to come off. My nutritionist suggested myfitnesspal to track my calories, exercise etc. So far I have lost 8 pounds. When you go on the protein diet 2 weeks prior…
