  • Well I ended up running this morning and realized it was a huge mistake. My whole chest/neck was on fire when I was done and I had a really hard time catching my breath and I've been coughing like crazy since then. I think I'm going to take it easy as far as running for a few days, but maybe walk or do a light exercise…
  • Shameless bump
  • Thanks everyone! All my information was entered correctly. I'll try to pulse test to see if it's accurate. I was dripping sweat and working my butt off! Thank you again! Makes me feel good that I'm burning so many calories.
  • I got: A polar FT7 New headphones (inspire iron man ones) An inspire ironman arm band to hold my phone while I run Asics Kayanos (early Christmas gift last week) $150.00 to ****s sporting goods 2 Jillian Michaels workout videos Can't remember the other things, but I'm so excited!!! All I wanted was the heart rate monitor…
  • LMAO! I work out at home now, but when I did go to the gym I had one. I used to schedule my workouts for when the trainer was there. I never trained with him but he was absolutely gorgeous and such a nice guy! I worked a lot harder when he was there. Wanted to add: I also had a chick crush. She was freaking ripped in all…
  • Sabra Roasted Garlic Hummus w/ sliced green peppers or Reduced fat wheat thins with the garlic and herb laughing cow cheese
  • I suggest the couch to 5 k program (C25K). I was never a runner...I hated it actually. I've been doing the program for almost a month and am loving it! Take it slow and pace yourself. Good Luck!
  • I'm on week 4 day 2. I agree with all the "run as slow as you need to" suggestions. I've done part of the program before and quit because I tried going way too fast and ended up injured. This time, I'm pacing myself and enjoying it a lot more. Good luck! Get some good running shoes and just do it. No excuses.
  • I eat a little dairy, but it upsets my stomach if I eat too much. I did eat some laughing cow cheese at lunch, but that's about it for dairy. I'll try to find a way to add some more. Going to try to increase my calories a bit. Lost almost 3lbs this week! Sodium was a big issue for me. I'm trying to keep it under…
  • I know I need to eat more, but I'm just not hungry unfortunately. It's crazy how much healthy food you get for way less calories. I'll work on eating a bit more though. And I'm w/ you on the candy. I only allow myself to have some once a week.
  • Yay! Thank you. I've been working on eating better and upping my protein.
  • Whoops! I forgot to add the rest of my water in for the day. I usually drink a gallon a day (just finished it off actually). :) Thanks for the reminder.
  • Awesome!! It feels great doesn't it?
  • Thank you all! I feel so much better. Going to keep pushing through and try running outside too. I actually prefer the treadmill because I can do it while my daughter naps. By the time my husband gets home it's dark out and I don't feel comfortable running in the dark. I'll try next weekend though when he's home during the…
  • Oh thank goodness! I was feeling rather slow. Sometimes I do have to slow down a bit (around 5.2) but I can pretty much keep at 5.5 without an issue. I cannot wait to get my running shoes for christmas! I'm thinking asics kayano's but idk. Any running show suggestions? I have a normal arch if that makes a difference. Price…
  • Great tip! I'll try it tonight. It's amazing, I've tried every cleanser, cream, strips in the book to help reverse all the damage I did to my skin as a teen (HEAVY makeup and picking at it) but nothing has really worked as well as honey.
  • I just started using honey as a cleanser last night and already notice a difference in my skin. It's softer, brighter etc. Just good old fashioned honey you find at the grocery store. I also drink cucumber lemon water like the kind they have at the spa. Idk if it actually does anything, but it's yummy and makes me feel…
  • Thank you. I'm trying to focus on how I'm feeling rather than the scale, but it is a bit discouraging when the scale doesn't move. I think I'm going to put the scale up for the rest of the week/weekend and just focus on eating healthy and working out. I feel energized and I DO feel stronger, so thats all that matters in…
  • 6 days a week, twice a day. On my rest day I do a light walk, helps me clear my head.
  • Thank you! Shameless bump. Just want some more insight.
  • I feel the same way! I get sluggish and I can't stand the full feeling. My protein powder sucks though. It's very low in calories (50 cals per scoop) and pretty low in protein (8gr). Def. have to get a better powder.
  • Don't worry, you're not offending me or coming off as brash (at least not to me). I just don't want to eat if I'm already stuffed to the brim. Thanks for the advice. I think when I eat things like almonds I need to have a full serving rather than half and maybe get a better protein powder as well.
  • I like that. There are some days I do go over, especially on my rest day.
  • Thanks for the support! As far as resorting back to old habits, that's a slippery slope for me. The reason I got "fat" in the first place was because I had 2 babies in 2 years, the youngest of which has severe physical anomalies. I struggled with depression and ate for comfort. Understand though, I never ate a huge bag of…
  • Lol, funny you say that, I just had a bowl of frozen yogurt. I've been at this for 2 weeks and I'm noticing I just can't eat as much.
  • Thank goodness I'm not alone! I get so frustrated when I can't do something. I will keep at it though. Tomorrow is day 3 of level 2. I'm hoping this will help strengthen my arms a bit though. It's only 20 minutes, I'll just suck it up.
  • Great suggestions! I'll give them a try tomorrow.
  • I'll try that thanks! I just realized that I posted this on motivation and support instead of the fitness board. Whoops! :blushing:
