  • I agree it depends on the person. I maintain at 1200-1300, even exercising regularly, but start to lose weight if I eat 1400-1800 (also exercising). If I get less than 1200 though I start to gain weight.
  • Great post. I remember reading this when I first started thinking about recovery, and it explained sooo much about how odd I'd become, food-wise. It really shows how much of a self-perpetuating thing an ED can become, and how much of a trap it is to start restricting in the first place.
  • Reminding myself that I'm a human being too helps me a lot, weirdly. I like to think about it biologically, I guess - I mean that we're a part of the animal kingdom and pretty much programmed to eat and all that other fun stuff. Also thinking about how legitimately miserable I was when I was restricting and overexercising.…
