Teacher/ordained non-denominational minister. Now I stay home and home school my kids. I'm seriously considering going back to school when my youngest is a little older to switch careers and go into Naturopathic medicine and Acupuncture.

Absolutely!

Thank you for posting.

Wonderful!!! I am very impatient to be able to do the same. My NSV is although I have only lost 5 pounds, my jeans are literally falling off me. I think I'm going to start taking measurements.

I have Hashimoto's and Scleroderma and 3 of my specialists (pulmonologist, cardiologist and endocrinologist) insist I do NOT get the flu shot because I am at much higher risk for complications. Also, it makes my children more likely to have vaccine injuries - in fact my oldest son had a serious reaction to the chicken pox…

I made these tonight. The whole family loved them!

I used to take straight DMSO from Dr. Jacobs, but once he passed away I switched to MSM. I use Swanson brand. I've had good results with pain relief and increased mobility (although the DMSO was much better even though the smell was terrible). I recommend taking your MSM with Vit C. Editing to say I use the powder, 1 scoop…

It gives a smoky flavor to predominantly meat dishes, simulating having used wood chips such as on a grill. I use hickory liquid smoke in pot roast, beef and noodles, and beef stew. Use sparingly. It's pretty strong.

I'm sorry you're experiencing this. Sometimes a soak in Epsom salt helps. I've also read about people drinking apple cider vinegar with the mother in it. I hope it lessens for you soon. It sounds terribly painful.

I wanted to add that food sources are usually best, but if your body is unable to synthesize them properly (as in my case), then supplementation is recommended. Edited to say I don't know you at all, so I am not saying you are obese. I just wanted to chime in. My endo in particular speaks about rampant latent deficiencies…

Two of my specialists (cardiologist and endo) told me the majority of patients who have obesity problems, especially long term morbid obesity, have underlying imbalances and deficiencies of hormones and key nutrients. Some of the most common (according to what I was told - I am not a medical professional) are Vit D, B7 and…

Vitamins and supplements can have carbs, too. So if you're taking any, you may want to check them and log them in along with your food intake. It's kind of like when I found out the reason some tea was triggering me was because there was gluten paste/barley paste listed only as "natural flavors".

Mind blown. Why have I never thought of this??? All of these as well as oregano and rosemary oils are in my house RIGHT NOW.

Chorizo with avocado, cheese, and a little smoked paprika is delicious. So are leftover roast or chicken breasts. I tend to add cheese, but you wouldn't have to. Overnight Chia pudding. My all time favorite breakfast is actually a grande mug of Cafe Mexicano (strong coffee, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, cacao powder, heavy…

I have 2 simple goals for Feb. Stay on track with meal prep, and move more.

Yes. Shall do that now.

Here's a link to the recipe I use for kale chips http://ohsheglows.com/2014/03/12/6-tips-for-flawless-kale-chips-all-dressed-kale-chips-recipe/ Zuppa Toscana is a soup. It has Italian sausage, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, heavy cream, bacon, potatoes, kale and top it with parmesan. If you'd like the actual recipe, I can…

Kale chips or use as wraps for buffalo chicken. I love kale in Zuppa Toscana. If you omit the potatoes it would be low carb.

These look incredible!

My only problem in this arena is my MIL. I've been on a couple medically supervised WOE for close to 2 years now, and anytime my doctor tweaks something she has a negative opinion to share (including telling my husband my food allergies are just the latest fad). When she found out he was eating keto with me she scolded him…

Dry brushing genuinely helps with cellulite and to move lymph along. The first time I lost weight my skin bounced back. The second time, not so much. I'm pretty afraid this time because I've been much heavier than I ever was before and I'm over 40. A friend told me some plastic surgeons offer a type of sonic therapy that…

I'm totally envious. I LOVE gardening. There's nothing like sticking your hands in the earth and nurturing plants to harvest. The flavors are so much more decadent than any produce in the supermarkets. I was an avid gardener until last year. My husband is a wind turbine inspector who travels almost 365 days/year, so last…

I can't wait to try this! Have you ever added in chopped cauliflower or okra pods?

I like to make a few different types of deviled eggs (traditional, Cajun bacon, and avocado), and a type of hash with corned beef. For Cajun bacon deviled eggs I liberally sprinkle McCormick's Cajun seasoning on thick cut bacon while I fry it. Then crumble it in the yolk mixture. It's AHmazing! For the avocado eggs I use…

Welcome! I am not dairy free, but I used to be. I followed a strict AIP protocol with added restrictions for over a year, so I may have a few recipes that would work for you. I will go through my backlog and check. I can't answer your question, but there are members here who are a wealth of incredible information. Good…

I'm still a new low carb eater, but so far combos like avocado slices with bacon, or spiralized zucchini tossed with browned butter, garlic, and parmesan stop my cravings. If I want chips, I eat homemade cheese crisps or pork cracklins. I also replaced soda with KeVita sparkling probiotic drinks and flavored Perrier.…

Looks delicious!

My 6 year old is currently all about marinated raw veggies. I place 1 1/2 C. extra virgin olive oil in a jar with a lid. Add 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 1 TBSP oregano, 1 TBSP basil, a tiny pinch red pepper, and 1 tsp crushed rosemary. Put the lid on and shake it all up. Add thinly sliced zucchini, asparagus tips, and thinly…
