PS: as far as earphones or earbuds go... I don't use them. Sounds very possible to me. I have been walking now for over two years and I am very competitve wtih myself. I alternate between distance, then speed to work my time down. I wanted NOTHING to do with my "fat" clothes when I lost all my weight. If you are talking about your calories remaining, then it would need to be green, think "go", and if they are red think "stop" because you have used your daily allotment. Hope this helps.
