  • Sounds similar. I'm also approaching that daunting 30 number. And realizing that I'm starting to worry about what the future will hold for me if I don't take my health back into my hands. Which is silly, because my health is something I can control (relatively). So its time for me to get serious about this, and stop making…
  • Ha! Love it! Its nice to share a hurrah now and then when there is an achievement, but I don't need the daily attention, nor can I give it. Request coming!
  • I'm like you in that I carry my extra weight really well. My starting point was just a touch higher than yours, but I have wider hips/thighs so I've had to go up to size 18. And being 5'10 makes it really hard to find pants that are longs and big in stores. Lots of luck to you! Finding friends online will definitely help…
  • I had PF about two years ago. I had switched jobs from a job where I wore athletic shoes and was on my feet all day, to where I sat all day and wore flats. You would think I would be better off when I was off my feet, but I had gotten so used to the arch support that wearing the flats was killing me. Anyway, I went to see…
  • I'm 5'10". I was about 130 lbs when I graduated high school, and when I look back now, that was way too thin. My high is 213lbs (sigh), and I'm down to about 198 now. Basing my goal weight on photos, thinking where I was last really happy with my body, I am shooting for 160-165 probably. Will re-evaluate when I get there.…
  • I used to eat an overly large bowl of cereal for breakfast every morning, and usually the fibery ones which are supposed to leave you fuller longer, but I gave it up about 3 months ago. I started doing green smoothies. I put banana, peanut butter, greek yogurt, almond milk/OJ, spinach, and sometimes fresh fruit in them. I…
  • Ah, I'm 28, 5'-10" and currently about 202 lbs. Which I entered into the watch when I got it. There is no strap, I just put my finger on the watch every 3-5 min... 90-150bpm? Maybe I am pushing myself to hard, because my heart rate usually goes up to about 176. I feel like I am just warming up when its at 150.
  • I understand the frustration of trying eat right and or work out with having IBS. I've suffered on and off with it for over 10 years now. Lately I have come to realize that highly acidic foods like oranges, grapefruits and even too much tomato can upset my stomach. Like someone else mentioned, stress can do a lot to make…
  • If you have a Wii or an xbox kinect there are zumba video games. I have been doing Zumba Core on Kinect for about the last month and have found it helpgul, and cheaper overall when you count months of paying for classes.
  • I've been logging it as "Dancing, aerobic, ballet or modern, twist" for the most part. I start with Aerobics, High Impact but that seemed high. Like I said, I would rather underestimate my exercise than over.
  • I've been doing zumba core on the kinect. I've found that during that during the hour long classes I might burn 700, but knock it down to 45 min on the same intensity, and I only burn 175... That math doesn't add up. To be honest. I take it with a grain of salt, and when it says 700, I usually log in about 300-350 calories…
  • Congrats and keep up the good work!
  • In a non-egg related idea... I've been doing Green Smoothies for the last few weeks and it has been a great way to add more fruit and veggies to my diet. Here is the recipe I started from... http://www.skinnytaste.com/2012/01/skinny-green-monster-smoothie.html
