I've traveled quite a bit in my life. And honestly, Africa was by far the craziest thing. Being a white and fairly thick girl (I'm not fat fat, but I'm solid) it was definitely scary at times. Guys frequently pulled me down alley ways telling me to marry them. Which was weird to me. Also, I had someone mug me once. But on…

I'm an absolute hockey dork (play, watch, know stats, fantasy hockey team).. beyond that I love photography and love painting. But I'm pretty terrible at all of the above.

Toffifee... I could eat an entire box --- ok, I can't say I haven't. But really, I'll indulge over the holidays! because I can!!! That's why we have the new years resolutions. lol.

Enjoy it!!! If I have a party or whatever, and I know there will be crappy food -- I throw in an extra workout, and just enjoy the night! Heck, I am going to start doing an extra workout all the time, just to eat what I want. lol.

I wouldn't really worry... it took a month for me to find out about my job. It wasn't a totally huge deal as I was still in school and was applying for a job that was going to start in 3 months. But still.... when they called me to offer me a job, I had actually forgotten about it.

Haha... every weekend??? Oh man, I'm to old for that! I used to do that, but honestly, I would prefer to never get drunk anymore. Its not worth it. A few drinks every once in a while is good for me. But I guess I've turned into an old fart! Some people just don't like drinking --- and good for them. My bf is one of those…

Hmm... I've been blonde, I've been brunette and been redheaded.... who know's what my real hair colour is anymore! Red head is my fav.... they are just fierce!

Definitely get Stamkos on the back --- nothing would be better than his name or a nickname. I got my bf the best hockey gift ever for Christmas.... two tickets to Mats Sundin number retiring/raising game (bought them before they officially announced it, so it didn't cost me more than a months rent --- thank you Sundin for…

Oh I am! Honestly, if I cut out simply condiments I'd lose weight. lol. But that would mean I'd have to cut out.... condiments! My fav is ranch --- my family mocks me because we were out once, and they were like ranch or blue cheese and I went "Oooooh Ranch please". I even got a gallon of ranch dressing for Christmas (I…

I've been figuring this one out. I have been doing midnight to midnight. But I may change, as today, I slept all day then had a small breakfast when I got up, then a dinner at work... and now my calories were all wonky (but I wasn't feeling totally tip top shape either).

I did yoga in University... and HATED it. But I have started doing it again (5 years later), and I actually enjoy it. I do very simple moves and have a 15 min video I do 5 nights a week. I feel much less tense because of it. So I've learned to love it for how it stretches me out.

Oh I already work out on the days I don't work a day shift. I am usually far too exhausted after days. Mostly mentally exhausted. And not all my shifts are the same. If a patient is very sick, I could easily end up doing hours of cpr. If I have a big patient its lots of lifting, if I'm in charge its literally running…

Thanks! That's a good way to take it. If I break a sweat, mark it! Definielty broke a sweat today!

Its not at all the same. Babies will suck and calm themselves down. Is it terrible to give a baby a soother because its not natural (ok, I may be opening up another can of worms on that one). And I do think it depends on why they are crying. I am not at all opposed to laying a baby down, and letting them cry (especially if…

I was more talking about 6-8 month olds, not newborns. I also never said you shouldn't sooth your babies. I said that babies CAN sooth themselves. So by keeping a baby in their own room isn't being a bad mom. Just like vice-versa having a baby in your room doesn't mean your a bad mom. I do think that there is a point…

Well, at least in Canada, you cannot give blood more than once every 2 months. Because it takes 5-8 weeks to replenish those cells.

You are right that babies don't fend for themselves --- but they don't need to sleep with a parent. Hundreds of thousands of kids sleep in a crib and are fine. Babies can sooth themselves, if they are taken care of -- changed, fed, kept clean --- then its no issue having them sleep in their own room. Its not at all…

Both are actually safe. You just have to know how to keep them safe. It is a fact that kids do die while co-sleeping because they are smothered, and it is a fact that they do die in a crib (same thing, just smothered by objects). It is suggested that kids don't sleep with blankets or just one small blanket and no toys or…

I actually babysit a girl (who is 3.5 years old), and she sounds just like your three year old. Her parents haven't really layed down the law with her, and so she takes advantage (and is beginning to be rude - not saying your child is). I've actually had her parents ask me how I get her to go down for a nap in the…

I'm actually totally fine with this. The reason why I'm fine, is because they worked hard with the mom for almost two years to get that boy be healthy. The parents didn't comply, and therefore have created an unhealthy (even deadly) environment for this child. (I am going to assume that the family was given means to give a…

Since lots of your boobs are fat, when you lose fat, you lose some boobs. It does depend on the person on how much you do lose.
-
Yup! Totally agree... I think the opposite and am like woah 1200 calories that's way too little. The only times I can eat around 1200 calories is if I'm on nights, and I don't eat as much during the day. And usually only eat small things because its technically night time. Do what you want, but don't starve yourselves.…

The biggest part of your post that is good --- is that if you are hungry you eat more. What I find is a big problem (not necessarily on here, but in general for women) is that they stick to a 1000-1200 calorie diet and never add calories when they are hungry. If you are hungry, your body is telling you you need food, you…

I personally feel like people here are just like so many girls/women. I do really feel like we (especially as women) need to embrace who we are and really really gain that self confidence that we all deserve to have. With that said, I'm not saying to not be healthy or better yourself, just do it in a way that is healthy…

For someone who isn't all that unhealthy to start --- losing that much weight in a short amount of time, isn't all that great. I wouldn't spend the money (but I'm a cheapo!)
-
I'd only watch doing this diet very long term, as it can cause kidney issues. Has been shown in the "no carb" diets long term. So just make sure you do always get carbs. Your body does actually need them. Of course, eat healthy carbs (veggies, whole grains), and don't gorge on carbs either. But make sure you eat a decent…

I usually check my heart rate every 5 min or so. But I run outside. Just trying to figure that stuff out and whether its worth it to get a HRM or just go by myself. lol.

I was actually shocked at how well I typically do eat (minus snacking). So the one big thing I've done is switched my snacks to things like celery and cucumber and plain popcorn. My snacking is what always put me over the edge. The cake at work, or whatever snacks at work. Its only been 2 weeks, but I hope I will start to…

I have only had a bikini wax --- but I was the same way. I often laugh in awkward situations, so here is a perfect situation for my laugh to come out!
