Probably gluten intolerant!

It's made a huge difference for my dad. He's found a few other migraine triggers as well - he can't do corn or sorghum either. I am completely grain-free. My only migraines now are hormone related.

Good for you! Glad to meet you! Feel free to browse my diary as you look for ideas to eliminate wheat/gluten from your diet.
-
How do you drink that much without having to stop for bathroom breaks all the time? I have a hard time going without a bathroom break at least every hour of my runs, and I drink very little.

Yes, animals get b12 from eating plants with the bacteria that produce it or by eating other animals.
-
B12 does not occur naturally in yeast. Nutritional yeast is sometimes fortified with B12.

Throughout the day. It basically gives you your TDEE. When I calculated my TDEE using the spreadsheet, and averaged out two months worth of FitBit entries, the results were less than 50 calories apart.
-
I would assume from your description that you are "very active". I like having the FitBit to give me a more accurate reflection of how active I am from day to day. Then I can see if I'm tired and hungry from being so active, or just because I'm stressed out or PMS'ing.

When we went to Disney, I researched all sorts of methods of tagging my son. What I ended up doing was putting my phone number on his arm with a Sharpie. Waterproof, visible, he couldn't decide to take it off, nor could anyone else.

I have one. On my shoe. ID, emergency contacts, allergies, the police file number of the guy stalking me . . .

1. I do have elf ears 2. I spent days as a teenager charting tengwar and runes and translating the frontpiece of my Tolkien books 3. I had just about every model of Palm Pilot there was 4. There are more computers in our house than there are people. Ditto phones and tablets. 5. I can't go anywhere without my FitBit. I…

Manufacturers "downsize" the waistband measurement to make you feel better. You think you have an x" waist, because that's what your pants are, when actually it is x+4" (or whatever). Different manufacturers fudge it by different amounts.

Even the amount of iron in "women's" multis makes me throw up. Oral iron supplements were out of the question, as they wouldn't stay down.
-
It helps once you've been gluten-free for a while and have "go to" foods. Snacks, frozen meals, frozen pizza crusts, new favourite quickie recipes. You'll get into the groove, just give it time.
-
BTW, paradoxically, my iron was always low until I went vegetarian. I am intolerant of something in meat and it was apparently causing me to lose iron (maybe a slow bleed in my gut) rather than providing more bioavailable iron. Strange.

You sound much like me. You'll see soy in my diary, but everything else should be safe for you. Feel free to browse and ask for advice/recipes.

Have you been tested for celiac disease?
-
So have you made a list of quick and easy things that you could eat instead? - scrambled eggs - stir fry - canned soup - pantry chili - pancakes or waffles from the freezer - premade salad What are some of your favourites?
-
My big thing was super tired. My son gorged on food when we went gluten free - he always had pain when he ate, so when he didn't have pain because he was gluten free, he didn't know when to stop. Your body has also been starved for nutrients if you have celiac disease.

I calculated my TDEE filling in Heybales' spreadsheet, and then I averaged out my TDEE according to my FitBit for the previous two months, and the two numbers were within 50 calories of each other. I try to eat roughly the same number of calories each day, rather than going up and down drastically with my exercise…

Beans? Potatoes? Buckwheat pancakes?

Oats are normally gluten contaminated. Were they certified gluten free?

Yay! Thank you!

Glad you made it here! You already know from my other messages to you that I am on a limited diet too. You can do it!
-
I think you're making excuses for yourself by saying that you can't cook extra food for yourself for later or that you can't keep a (relatively) gluten free kitchen. If you take responsibility for your health, you can make it happen. The children can be taught to leave alone food that you have labeled or indicated to them…

I got mine in January and am still going strong!

I've sent you a private message so that I can e-mail you some docs that might help out with your menu planning. I also do lots of ethnic foods. Asian, Indian, African, Mediterranean, South American, etc. Most cultures are not as meat-rich as North America. I have a lot of dietary restrictions and still eat very well! There…

This morning I put some veggies in the frying pan and a potato in the microwave and cooked. When the potato was done, scooped the inside, and mashed it into the veggies in the frying pan. Added liquid egg whites, some garlic and herbs, a bit of daiya cheese, and cooked through. Put it back on the potato skin (like it would…
