  • Looking for some MFP buddies to keep touch with. Been here for a long time, but I am stuck for a long time, too, and the holidays were not good to me. Kids are 13 and 9 and both super active and keep me busy. Looking for encouragement and others to check in with to keep me focused. Would love too see some of you in a feed…
  • Hello everyone! I am a 41-year old mother of 2 beautiful children, about to turn 8 and 2. I work full-time in marketing. Our family is pretty busy. Both kids play sports alomst year-round. I do get some exercise when I walk the tracks amd patks by where they practice. But making it to all our activites means I make many…
  • the actual hours on the clock that you sleep are not as important as the total hours you sleep and how many hours straight you get good sound sleep I would think. People who work night shift have to have a schedule that is off from 9-5 people but that doesn't automatically make them less healthy. Look at the total hours…

It may take 3 weeks to drop that one more pound sometimes, but I know it's a slow go now and I am getting close to just maintaining. It was tough before they…
  • Thank you everyone!! I feel like I know what to do! You are all fabulous!!!
  • I hve pushed it to do something extra in the evening so I could have a snack. Nothing wrong with that. Especially if you are thinking bowl of cereal!
  • I can't do the morning thing either. And by the time I get home there is just enough time for dinner and showers for the kids and getting things like homework, bills, or other house duties done. What has helped me is playing on two soccer teams. The scheduled time to be somewhere makes the commitment much easier. But…
  • I have gotten the sandwich thins and spread them hummus and then topped with something like cucumber slices. You get flavor from the humus, the veggie is cold and juicy. Then I bring some other veggie like bell peppers to use up the leftover humus My dessert is a fruit of some kind. Then I can have a granola bar for a…
  • I need some motivating buddies, too. I have been working on better food choices for over a year now, but it's finding time for the exercise thing (forgive my excuse there). It works so much better when you have encouragement and can help support others. Count me in!
  • i just might. I logged Thanksgiving and was pleased to see I wasn't WAY out of whack...made me realize that I am thinking better about what I choose to eat.
