  • Hello everyone! My name is Corrie and I am a 35 year old teacher, wife, and mother of two (boy 6 and girl 8). I have been *trying* to live a healthy lifestyle for the past couple years. But, we just recently moved to Michigan from South Carolina, and we are not keeping up with the eating part of our healthy lifestyle. {We…
  • Thanks! Trying to just be healthy and happy. I have not officially thrown the scale away, but it is tucked away and probably dusty by now  You look great in your "overweight" picture as well....the scale LIES!
  • I went to the beach yesterday in my conservative looking bikini. I am no where near perfect. My stomach giggles a little (had two kids), my thighs aren't perfect, but I wore it. I was a little self conscious because I know I do not look as good as I potentially could, but it is the BEACH!!!!!! Unfortunately, I forgot…
  • The scale does not tell the whole "truth". I am still under the impression that I have to be 132 pounds because that would put me in a "healthy" category instead of an "overweight" category. But I try not to think this way. Here's why: I am 145 pounds in this picture I am also 145 in this picture, but look different Why do…
  • Thanks for the responses! I do eat about 85%-90% clean, so I am just going to keep it up and see what happens. I usually do not use the scale to measure my health, but I need to have a goal by June 24, so I thought it was a way to get myself motivated. I figured 132 would put me in the healthy instead of overweight…
  • Thanks! I think we all have bad days once in a while. I am happy to report that I have been under my calorie goal all week so far. I do not have my first weigh in until Monday, so we will see. But, I have been pounding the water, eating well, and exercising. I took today off to rest. My calves are really sore!!! Although I…

  • Is everyone hanging in there? Just completed week one of month two!!!!
  • Great job! I have my third fit test Monday. Cardio core and balance the last 5 days has been rough, not because it is that hard of a workout, it is just getting BORING! One more time...today...then fit test #3
  • Hopefully everyone's week is starting off well. I did pure cardio today!!! Sweated like crazy...hope everyone else is still hanging on
  • Good luck to you as well. It is crazy, challenging, but fun and I feel GREAT after my workouts!
  • You can do it! Just keep it up
  • AWESOME! You went up on everything!!!!!!
  • Here are my fit test #2 results: Switch Kicks 70 Power Jacks 64 Power Knees 112 Power Jumps 58 Globe Jumps 10 Suicide Jumps 23 Push-up Jacks 37 Low Plank Oblique 66 Gonna keep pushing through. With all my measurements, chest, biceps, waist, hips, thighs, calves, I am down overall an inch and a half. (not great, not bad) I…
  • Pure Cardio is HARD! Never thought about that...gonna try to get my hubby to do it with me...hehe...keep it up!!!!!!!!
  • Awesome improvement...keep it up...my 2nd fit test is Mon. :)
  • Plyo cardio circuit was pretty rough today. I definitely wasn't feeling it. I will rock it out tomorrow...hopefully! How's everyone else doing?
  • Insanity is named accordingly, in my opinion. It is rough and tough. I have no idea how I did 63 days of it last spring now that I am back in it! From last week to this week, though, I have felt better about the routines. (And I already knew what to expect  ) I did Pure Cardio today and felt like I did WAY better…
  • This morning was cardio power and resistance. It was rough since I have been on vacation for two weeks, so doing it at 5am will take some getting used to. But, I am pumped up for week two!!!!!!!
  • Shaun T, "that *kitten* is bananas, yo!" It is so crazy. Well, today is a rest day. Finished with week one...here's too week two...:drinker:
  • Today will round out week one for me. It has been tough, but not that bad. Pure Cardio is crazy!!!!! I also cannot be on here for large amounts of time, but will check in a couple times a week! Hope everyone's week has been INSANE!
  • I felt the same way when I started Insanity last spring. I just finished a 1/2 marathon, and thought I was in great shape...but my fit test results from day 1 to day 63 were TREMENDOUS! I am hoping to get back to that level again! Just finished day 3 as well! YAY!
  • Plyo cardio circuit in the books! The ski abs and the in and out abs are killer for me! Feelin' good though...
  • You're gonna do it this time!!!!!!!
  • AWESOME JOB! Have you done Insanity before, or is this your first time? Those are really impressive numbers for Fit Test #1
  • Same here. I know I will never be "skinny" by some people's definition, but I want to be happy and healthy! Good Luck :) I need positive people around to also help me with motivation!!
  • I am also trying to lose the mommy tummy...hopefully this round will do it. Each activity I embark on makes it look a little better and better!
  • Although I am doing Insanity, I have done P90X 2 1/2 times, so I definitely can give you some support if needed. I really like the P90X program. I love the alternate days of resistance and cardio. It just gets boring to me. Tony Horton is cheesy, funny and really explains all the moves thoroughly. I think you will be happy…
