I eat ice cream every night as well. And have for a long time.

5% smaller and a perfect pear. Never thought of myself as pear shaped but hey...

50 pounds still shouldn't be morbidly obese. I was about 90 pounds overweight and still only considered obese. Not that labels really matter. Focus on the food aspect first. That is where your weight loss comes from. Exercise is for fitness. Just keep at it and don't give up!

Feel free to add me! I'm 32, lost 65ish and looking to lose about 25 more.

Two adults anc two children in Ohio anc we spend $300-$400 per month. I plan my meals around what's on sale and buy and freeze meat when it's on a good sale. I also utilize a loca farmers market that has ridiculously cheap produce. Finally, I compare ads and usually hit 3-4 stores to get what I need. (All are nearby each…

The best thing you can do is work on you. I was 240 and my husband around 280. I joined a weight loss challenge at church and began losing steadily. At first he was resistant but then he actually became jealous of all the attention I was getting. Because of this he jumped on the wagon. He is now 168 and I am trying to…

Are you eating back exercise calories? If you are working out you should log those workouts and eat back maybe half your exercise calories.
-
If you are logging accurately, just hang in there. I recently started lifting regularly and went FIVE WEEKS with no scale loss. Clothes were getting looser though. This morning I was down 4.5 lbs!!!! Just stick with it.

That's what I thought. I just agreed to disagree. I am no no means an expert but have learned a few things over the last few years. Just made me second guess what I knew!!!!

It is a Facebook group so I can't link it. But when I said there are no foods that but fat any more than others. He disagreed. I asked if he had any studies to prove it. His response: "Try google and thermogenics but not with supplements. Natural foods. Grapefruit, lentils, hot peppers all have metabolism boosting effects.…

Thank you. I didn't want to be spouting false information.

I love red pepper strips, raw cauliflower, grapes (pre-portion them so you don't go overboard), yogurt.

I think smaller goals are great and to me, more helpful. As long as you don't put a time limit on it (lose x amount of pounds by June 1st). That just sets you up for failure.

Yep. They're all blessed!

Coffee.

I love that you're looking for a gym buddy, but meeting up with a stranger off the internet can be extremely dangerous!!!! Why not go to the gym and meet some new people there? Maybe take a class and introduce yourself. It's a lot easier to judge character in person!

I've lost 61 so far and have about another 30 to go. Feel free to add me!

1.5 lbs per week is a great rate. I wish I was losing at that rate. Although, I'd personally be starving everyday at 1100 calories. You're certainly not fueling your body properly, especially if you're working out as hard as you say.
-
Actually a kg is approximately 2.2 lbs.
-
I know I love to snack at night so I pre log and plan for it! I usually spend 300-400 of my 1500 calories on evening snacks. I know me and I know this is when I am most hungry.
-
Every single night.
-
Yep it sure is. I'll be conscious of what I eat but not overly stress. I will be over. And that's ok. I've lost over 60 pounds and kept it off (and still losing) while still enjoying a few special days here and there.

What about mfp is not working for you?

You just have to decide to do it. Until you really want it, nothing will change. Personally for me what finally kicked it into gear was a competition. I'm super competitive and of course I won the money. That jump started a 70 pound loss. But you have to commit and refuse to make excuses. Until you're really ready, you…
