honestly.. I would start off with: read, read, read... what is suggested may not fit with your medical profile, schedule, budget, etc, or any one of a hundred things that we don't know.. start with simple calories in calories out using the formulas here, and read some more then... figure out what you think you can handle…

agree...but to each his own.

nope...loving it.

I picked up one (orange w/ nubbies) at target ... started to figure out the thing, amazing how much this gets vs stretching

 think we just solved the thigh-gap issue.. should market that.. "INSTAGAP"

oatmeal during the week..

No.. too tedious.. plus those "free items" unless they are tons of something else (eg - sodium) then it's not value added for me.. The -2-3-4 kcals that are in the items are a wash since I don't record any extra activity (running for the train, all the extra walking that I do in my commute or what have you) I figure it all…

and just to present a counter for the "spanking is abuse" ... (in general not directed at anyone, just thinking out loud) couldn't it also be said that isolating a child in a corner or putting them in a corner in a hallway or room repeatidly be considered mental abuse as well? I don't think so but I don't think that…

I think.. regardless of which route you take... we can all agree...that eventually, Your kids will grow and you have to let go and they will have to take the lessons you tried to instill and hope that most of them stick and they can make the smart choices on their own..
-
I think its a rather hypocritical stretch to label parents who opt to spank “lazy” or "prison worthy" but whatever… and for whatever reason.. I think this whole thing just sums up the problem with today’s society … it’s become so PC and so fearful of offending anyone, people are afraid to do anything about any wrong doing…

uncle fester .... if you taze em enough....
-
 no worries (becasuse that was in my thought process too)

in before this gets locked... I see spanking as another tool in a parents toolbox to aid directing a child on a proper path.. never out of anger.. to be used in a progressive manner when "NO", "TIME OUT" and other verbal cues/lessons fail to get the attention and correct the behavior.. but again, never out of anger.

And now I feel old..... :grumble:
-
don't ... think of it as bonus. and since you're not loggin it.. that will motivate you to do something else that you will log. plus that "extra" will help balance out the margin of error for weighing food, that extra cookie, etc..

I think this was a good episode.. overall, Carl is being a snotty typical teenager, but he needs to grow up some and stop blaming, but I guess he needs to vent on someone, but then Rick needs to treat him more like an adult than a kid, the situation isn't normal, so parenting skills needs to adjust to it. But Carl needs to…

not really for me either.. family inquired but friends no. I think for males this falls in line with the "Umm Ted, you're not wearing those shoes with that shirt are you? SAID NO GUY EVER" mentality .. we just aren't wired like that for the most part I think. I actually had one friend *hint* that i *might* be using…

i'm with you on this one. I manually set mine, it had my BMR at 2150, and my TDEE at ~3k saying that I could lose weight at that. seemed WAY to high. I double checked it against IIFYM and Scooby's calc's too and they are all about the same.. I don't get it either.. I would just manually go change it as suggested above…

I'm hungry...

This is kind of what I was thinking too...maybe i'm just getting old.. :indifferent:

A man walks into a bar with a giraffe. They both get pissed. The giraffe falls over. The man goes to leave and the bartender says, "Oi. You can't leave that lyin' there." And the man says, "No. It's not a lion. It's a giraffe." **bonus pts for ref**

I think the question is being slightly missed.. If I read this right your saying bring a small salad or something just for yourself to eat since you don't want to waste the big dish (veggies, etc) and you don't want to eat the food they have... then yes, it would be rude for you do to that. Just nibble at what's being…
