That looks like a good schedule to me! If I were you I would do your cardio (elliptical/bike) immediately after your strength training on the days that you're doing both, because the strength training gets your metabolism revved up, which will help you burn even more fat during your cardio workouts. I would also try to…

Here are the results I get with an HRM (I'm 5'3 and 155 lbs [ah it feels SO good to say that! I've lost 35 lbs in the past few months with these DVD's, I still can't believe I'm in the 150's!!]) : Total Body Transformation: ~ 480 calories Pure Burn Super Strength: ~ 450 calories Totally Ripped Core: ~ 300 to 350 calories…

hey - are you sure you are burning 200 calories on your way to work? do you have a heart rate monitor? it takes me 40 minutes to get to work on a bike and i burn between 230 to 330 calories each way.

i totally recommend it!!!!! i haven't done it for 30 consecutive days yet, but i got it last december and do it a couple times a week and it has DEFINITELY made me stronger/ boosted my endurance, and i'm sure it has helped with my weight loss too (30 lbs in a few months).

to add calories: nuts, protein shakes, cheese (not a lot, though), avocados, fruit. don't screw your body over by feeding it crap like pizza hut every day

personally i just started running. it was that simple. i started last october running 20 minutes a few times a week, and now i'm training for my second 5k. i say just do it. (and last october i had never run before and was seriously out of shape/overweight).

For me I have to totally keep foods that I would binge on out of the house (for me it's chips). Typically my binges are triggered my depression but sometimes it's just boredom/not paying attention to what I'm doing. Another strategy I have is to take all the pent-up energy that I release in binging and put that energy in a…

that's dumb. sorry. just be confident in how you look and don't let a number define you!

i have a polar ft4 - it's awesome

also, yoga for the warrior is not an exercise that i do in order to burn calories - i usually think of any calories i burn during this workout as a "bonus," because my average heart rate stays pretty low throughout the workout as opposed to interval training workouts which burn mad calories. i do this workout in order to…

i am 160 lbs and i burn just above or just below 200 calories, depending on how hard i push. i do the modifications for a couple of the moves that I can't reach, but even if you do the modifications it should be right around the same burn if you feel like you are pushing yourself.

i haven't read what everyone else said, but I'm overweight (recently i've lost 30 lbs and went from being obese to overweight, now i have 20 more to go until I'm in the normal bmi weight range) - i personally don't have a problem with the word fat, and i always made excuses that i had a slow metabolism and until i finally…

nobody should care what anyone else is doing/looks like in the gym. if you wanna dress up, fine - if you wanna roll out of bed - fine. whatever.
-
about 3 lbs (usually have a light period)
-
28 pounds - but i have another 25 to go, so I'm gonna buy new clothes then too! :)
-
just the opposite - it will speed up your weight loss by burning fat and revving up your metabolism! if you can, try to add a little bit of strength training too, for toning.

unbelievable. this is the most inspiring post i have ever read!

yeah!

hmm i feel your pain! unfortunately i lost in my boobs first! a whole two inches! oh well.

i'm crazy about Bob Harper DVD's! I HIGHLY recommend: Pure Burn Super Strength, Total Body Transformation, and Yoga for the Warrior. All of these DVD's have an hour long workout and a shorter 20 minute workout, depending on how long you wanna go. I also use Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred DVD, but she kinda annoys me…

if you haven't tried this already, you could try alternating the kinds of cardio workouts that you're doing. for example, one day you could run, the next day you could do a bike, the next day elliptical, the next day jump rope, the next day zumba. i've read in MANY sources that changing up your workout tricks your body…

i started cycling every day about a month ago - my butt hurt for the first week of riding, but now i'm totally used to it! i say just give it some time.
-
i eat it every day with strawberries, blueberries and granola! so good! i also use it as a healthier replacement for sour cream! i bake a sweet potato (or put a sweet potato in the microwave for 10 mins), cut it open, then put some greek yogurt and a laughing cow cheese inside and mash it all up! a seriously delicious and…

don't beat yourself up about it - i usually give myself one day a week where i can have extra alcohol and snacks that i like. and occasionally during the week i have such a strong craving for a bagel and cream cheese that i just have to give in. it's normal and isn't the end of the world. i'm almost 30 lbs down in a few…

yum!

hmmm yeah i workout every day and always stretch for about 5 to 10 minutes post workout, but maybe i will try the epsom salts. this isn't the typical post-workout soreness that i've had in the past, it's more of a pain right beneath my shoulder blades (which i've learned is a really difficult place to stretch!).

i work out at home all the time. I use the 30 Day Shred DVD and Bob Harper DVD's. You just need a few hand weights.
