  • Thanks for sharing your story I really enjoyed reading that. A bad relationship did contribute to my weight gain as well and I just moved and am starting my fresh start
  • I agree, give yourself more calories to work with and you will be much less likely to eat excessively.
  • Drink a glass of water. Sometimes your body sends hunger/craving signals when it's dehydrated. Then ask yourself if you're truly hungry. If the answer is yes, eat. If you had a good workout that day, your body may just be asking for more fuel. If not then don't. Learning to listen to your body is more valuable than tips to…
  • I've been doing it on the treadmill just fine. It's 12 degrees outside and there is snow on the ground so I think it's better than nothing! And it also helps me stay at a pace I choose rather than getting slower as I get more tired. I agree with lesley though I wouldn't go for incline when running just yet. You don't want…
  • yupp definitely debunked. Not eating after a certain time will help reduce nightime snacking but your body does not care when you get your calories.
  • Beefy 5 layer burrito... or anything from taco bell. I can still eat most fast foods within my macros but t-bell it's just impossible and has to be a planned cheat now and then
  • Both! Being healthy and caring about your body is hot
  • My Home -> Goals -> Change Goals -> Custom Then you can manually change it.
  • Normally I would say it's really up to you, but if you're only taking in 1200 calories to begin with I would definitely eat back every calorie. You don't want your body to think it's starving.
  • If I had to pick one, I guess special K. I agree with ashley though, using fresh ingredients make take a little longer but you will probably save money. You should try juicing! Then just add protein powder.
  • Glad you're seeing the results you want! Feels good, doesn't it?
  • You are terribly rude and completely misinformed. There is such a thing as not eating enough. That's where YOU effed up the calories in calories out equation. It's a different ball game when you're starving your body. You are not a special snowflake. Please stop spreading incorrect information.
  • Green tea has about 30-45 mg of caffeine per serving. It's less than coffee which is somewhere between 140-160mg, but if you drink a lot in a day then you're still getting plenty of it. That is unless you are drinking decaf tea.
  • If he is truly the love of your life, I would look into couples therapy. Sounds like you're not being heard and that's often a good way for BOTH sides to address issues. Also, the reason he may shoot down your talk about getting healthy is because he knows he should do the same. Seeing how strong you are may be frustrating…
  • Great job! This inspires me to make good choices too
  • Thanks for the smiles
  • BMI is pretty useless when calculating health. It does't take into account things like muscle tone as you mentioned. For that you should by some calipers to measure your body fat percentage. If you are losing weight and getting healthier, I don't see why it matters. Stay motivated!
  • Hi I'm 21! I'm on here every day and have been trying to be more active with friends and forums. SW: 221 CW: 211 GW: Anywhere between 130-145. Wherever I look healthy! Anyone can add me!
  • Congrats on your new body! I am all for skin removing and post weight loss/baby surgeries. Whatever makes you feel better in your already healthy body!
  • I use almond butter because it has less carbs, which is what is more important for me. But still a lot of fat if that's what you're worried about. Edit, I just re-read your post my bad...
  • Bowling a game or 2? No. Especially since you're with friends and probably sitting a majority of the time. Pro bowler bowling all day erreday, sure why not.
  • Oh my god I just went through this.
  • Eat more and you won't need those extra buffer calories because your body will be nourished and in turn less peckish. Also this may sound counter intuitive but I suggest more healthy fat. It will help you feel more full. This may not work for everyone but it worked for me so I'm just throwing it out there
  • Aww yea, get it girl! But seriously I don't log it as exercise cause anything I burn during that time can just go towards my daily expenditure. No need to start logging every little thing otherwise you may trick yourself into justifying more cals than you need.
  • Preach! I honestly don't know how people can still think this will work. If you can't restrict while eating normally what makes you think you can fast! I guess the logic is just above my head.
  • I recently tightened my bras a hook as well! Hear, hear! :drinker:
  • I use the medifast 55 shakes (my mom used to do the diet and I just love the shakes!) and add a half a banana, but I'll be the first to admit they can be rather pricey.
  • I wouldn't panic just yet. When I was in high school I played basketball and one summer they decided they wanted us working out 3 hours a day plus weight training 3 days a week. It was ridiculous and even though my diet was a classic teenager crap diet and I didn't lose any weight, my period disappeared. I was glad at…
  • I prefer low carb but everyone's body is different. I tried low fat and I felt hungry ALL THE TIME. Once I cut out the carbs I stopped feeling bloated and sluggish as well. I know most of the sluggishness was due to the amount of carbs I would eat, but since I'm terrible at just having a little I cut them out completely…
  • At first it felt "wrong". You get this mentality like less calories the better, right? But when you think about your calorie goal for the day, especially if it's something as low as 1200 for example you HAVE to eat back your calories otherwise you're starving your body. If I just do a little rest day 30 min light cardio I…
