I also work shift and I find I have to stay away from really heavy foods while I am working nights or my stomach will hate me! So I eat alot of fruit, vegtables and oatmeal. I work rotating days and nights at a manufacturing plant. My shifts are from 6-6. a typical night shift for me would be: 7am- bed time as soon as I get home 1pm- Get up and workout. Steel cut oats in the slow cooker. I usually make enough for the week, portion it out in containers and store in the fridge. In the morning i just grab a container and go!
