I always feel a little meh after drinking Muscle Milk. I generally drink Isopure Dutch Low Carb after a workout, mixed with water. Due to wisdom tooth surgery, I am looking for more calories, so I have been making my shakes with soy milk and have been trying out "Designer Whey" which was reasonably priced, cheaper than…

my wife uses all kinds of stuff, I forget what she liked the most but it was a natural organic stuff, that might have been because she got it colored too.

I try not to drink too much as it makes me grumpy, I think I don't sleep well (not as deep as I should) when I have had a lot of diet soft drinks. I look for diet drinks sweetened with Splenda/Sucralose and xylitol

Been in Texas for 15 years, but I am back for the summer.

Coffee with cream (at least 3 coffee ups, probably 10oz each) 2 eggs (over medium, poached preferred but not generally available) 2 slices of toast (Rye or wheat, Rye preferred) 2 pieces of bacon fruit

In just under 4 months of working out at least 3 times a week with weights for 60-90 minutes each time, I have only put on 1.5 lbs of muscles. I actually gained about 2 lbs of upper body muscle (pretty even split between my arms and my torso), but I lost about .5 lbs in my legs (I didn't do as much leg weight training as I…

At a minimum, twice a week. On a good week, 6 times. On average, 4 times a week.

I am not a woman, so I guess I don't exactly fit your criteria. However... The H2O Audio armbands work really well. The latest one is great for swimming and running (the first generation which was mostly neoprene based was not good for running). I also have their waterproof earbuds as well. I have been using this 2nd gen…

I used to use plain soy milk, when given the option I do skim milk and if anything half-half creamer. I stopped using sugar a long time ago.

I prefer my iced tea with lime, sometimes lemon, but I will gladly take it with nothing at all.

Of their 40 miles on the bike, how much of that is actually pedaling? As looking at how the bikes at the gym work, if you are not pedaling the bike pretty much slows down the whole gear mechanism. Whereas you build up inertia and can coast for long distances on a real bike. Something to think about when logging your…

I had pain when running in my left knee (which turns out mostly to be related to weak muscles around that knee), but for about a year I was swimming and not running at all. Since Dec I have started doing strength training and have increased my muscle mass in my left leg and lost weight and now I can run for 2-3 minutes at…

You can alway move home or crash with friends if it doesn't work out, go for it.

I am an omnivore, tried and true. I have never done an all meat (like Atkins, the way most do it) diet, but I did go completely vegan, for 11 days. My sister was a hard core vegetarian turned vegan, no telepathic powers unfortunately (pilgrim fans clap now), and I saw on a few family visits (our family is in Michigan, I am…

i choose my goal weight of 210, sort of randomly, I didn't do any research or anything really. I think it is because my dad once told me he weighed about like 205 or 210 and he is about my same height. So thinking that is what he weighed back then, sort of made me think it would be a good weight. After seeing a…

always preferred redheads, then brunettes, then blondes in terms of physical appearance. But personality is a big issue, you can be pretty and be a horrible person.

Don't have kids. But my wife and I had two very different childhoods when it came to food. We always had vegetables at dinner (something green or orange) and most of the time a salad (lettuce, carrots, tomato, bell pepper, sometimes mushrooms). Lunches if prepared at home usually had some sort of vegetable. And we always…

isopure low carb, been drinking the dutch chocolate, good stuff.

My wife and I drive to a cottage near Traverse City, MI from here in Austin,TX. The distance is about 1,450 miles. We have only tried to drive straight through one time, we were both so tired by the time we hit Michigan, we ended up crashing for some sleep at a rest stop about 5 hours away from our destination, just…

I love my fitbit, I find it helps give me a better means to track daily activity and I also really like earning the badges, I need 150 flights and 25k steps in a day and I will have a complete set. I think you will like it, plus since there is no required subscription fee like many of the other devices, it will be easier…

2008, approx 310 lbs, that would have made me 30 years old. Today, I weighed in at 247, age 33.

isopure dutch chocolate - low carb, no real aftertaste, and if you chill it for about 20 mins before drinking it will be surprisingly great.

i eat most of mine back. I really do find that I feel overall better when I eat most of them back vs not. I concur with the sentiment that you need to enjoy the entire journey to your goal weight.

generally strength, then cardio, then strength then cardio repeat for about 60-90 (a few times 120) minutes. Doing at least 5 minutes of cardio in between strength exercises.

Grew up in Lansing, MI. Been down here in Austin, TX since Dec 1997. I miss it in the summers, but not in the winters at all.
