  • This looks kind of interesting...does anyone use this method? It would be nice to merge my pedometer with my HRM.... http://www.gowearfit.com/What-is-GoWear-fit;jsessionid=0a0101421f430e1c0904ff154efdb1ddbeab809abb4c.e3eSc3iSaN0Le34Pa38Ta38Pbhv0
  • Do not get down on yourself....I am going through the exact same thing...I was having the absolute worse PMS of my life and I could not see the point of doing anything whatsoever. I went to the gym, but my 1000 calories I normally burn turned into 250 at best. Thank God it only lasted a week. The up side is that I did not…
  • Unfortunately, I would either go to the gym to allow for the pre-packaged sauces, or cook with low-sodium soy with butter-flavored Pam (great to spray on popcorn, by the way).
  • clearly he is very jealous of you. I would dump him now. He does not have a shred of respect for you or what you are trying to do.
  • LOL...you guys are just too sweet!!! My first thought was to let him cook whatever he wants to eat himself!!!
  • My prayers are with you and your family. Please note that I had a friend who had lung cancer, left it untreated for a year (denial) and is now cancer free after finally dealing with it. She amazed all the doctors. As long as there is breath, there is life and there is hope. Take one day at a time, and hang on. This road is…
  • I just eat the pita without stuffing it and then dip and use a fork for the "stuffing..."

  • She's trying to find an easy way for herself to do the same thing. I would take this as a huge compliment because she is obviously jealous.
  • No - and I've been very successful just sticking to my caloric intake. I eat early, I eat very late...but within my range. Of course, everyone is different.
  • I can tell you that the majority of the calories come from the bread. I usually order a foot long, cut the sandwich in half and place the veggies, meat, etc. on the other half or eat it from a bowl...oh, and I only get salt and pepper and no cheese.. I learned this when I ordered the veggie and it was way too many…
  • I suppose someone, somewhere said it was a good idea..and there may even be a study which backs it up - but I personally would rather chew on chards of broken glass. Seriously - that seems so insane to me! :noway: I am so curious now! I can't wait to check this post again.... In fact, i may just try this on a treadmill…
  • LOL....when I began this weightloss venture, I was overwhelmed by the massive amounts of conflicting information out there....I hardly knew where to begin. So I applied two theories...the first of which was something my mother pounded into my head (besides "never put anything in writing" lol) which was "believe none of…
  • Tanita scales are very good....and somewhat expensive. Digital scales are twitchy (only on a flat surface, and sometimes when it is too damp)....i would suggest finding an ancillary place to weigh yourself. No good comes from having a scale readily available...it's very tempting to get on it too much and the normal…
  • A creative coffee mug filled with treats.....it's not personal enough to seem like a come-on, yet has personal thoughts behind it. (it's really sweet of you by the way).
  • Yes.....I have sugar cravings as well. I know it sounds silly, but I started drinking diet cream soda and eating green seedless grapes dipped in Equal. Somthing about that diet cream soda...it tastes really sweet (but oh so good) if you do not like cream soda, try diet root beer. Sometimes it is not about kicking the habit…
  • I had the exact same issue. The solution that worked best for me is the one I cling to every day. I stop and ask myself which one I want more...food I've already tasted - that will be around until the day I die - or the feeling I get when I lose a pound or an inch. I began to reiterate over and over that I am in control of…
  • I agree with mamaof2.....Trust the HRM.... It took me some time to believe, but I would rather believe something (especially as expensive as the F11 - I'm envious) I am wearing on my body than something that is used by a gizillion people.
  • Thanks everyone! You are all my constant inspiration.
  • Got this recipe from Realage.com. I gave the recipe to my boyfriend and I shall eat cake tonight! EatingWell's Died-and-Went-to-Heaven Chocolate CakeThis foolproof cake is one of our most popular recipes. Dutch-process cocoa is preferred here for its deep chocolate flavor. Ingredients Cake 1 3/4 cups all-purpose white…
  • I totally feel you. I used to lose and gain 8 pounds - the more I worked out, the bigger the gap became. It boiled down to a couple of things, which have since been rectified thanks to this site. Water weight - I began to weigh myself only once a week and never right before or during my period. Eat, eat, eat.....boot camp…
  • LOL I exercise twice as hard on my cheat days.
  • 8.5 miles this morning - got to the gym at 4:40 a.m.
  • I want to thank you all for your suggestions.... I have made an appointment with my doctor (whom I think is a genius)..plus, I'm going to switch to a stabilizer shoe...if I remember correctly, the Kayano made my foot feel so good - I cannot believe I took a level down. In the long run, not worth it. I'm also going to look…
  • Okay - so I have had plantar fasciitis in the past, but I was younger and waitressing. This morning when my feet hit the floor, I could tell that it is making a comeback. I ran anyway (you're runners, you understand that stupid decision, right?). I really need suggestions on the best course of treatment (except for not…
  • OMG! I am going through that RIGHT NOW. I thought it was because I've started craving diet root beer (yum-yum) and that I was having it too late. In retrospect, I just recently sustained an injury to my back which kept me from working out for a week... all this energy started right when I returned to my workouts! And, I…
  • Plug in how many slices you think you will eat....it's less than you think!
  • HRM wins....it's more accurate than the machines as it is in constant contact with your breathing and heart beats...Just remember to adjust your weight to keep it accurate.
  • Okay - so I found the coolest HRM stuff on Amazon.com so I just had to share! These are bras that accommodate the HRM by having the sensors in the bras and/or shirts....check them out! http://www.amazon.com/Polar-Heart-Bra-Medium-Black/dp/B000GK61DY/ref=sr_1_16?ie=UTF8&s=apparel&qid=1237407941&sr=8-16 or…
  • I will explore...thanks!
