I just got off a Sober September. I went from a drink or two a day to none for MOST of September. There were I think a total of three days I had at most three drinks and at least one drink for the month. My wallet fattened up by about $150-$200 and I slimmed down roughly 8 pounds. I didn't change much about my eating…

The Nestle line of Bliss has about 35 cal and a lot less crap in it.

I have an office full of co workers that eat a salad once a week - catered in just like the rest of their lunches and no doubt their dinners as well and wonder why they can't lose weight...they ate a salad after all. Its a hopeless mindset. When anyone comments on my lifestyle I just shrug my shoulders and leave the room.…

Chicken and broccoli, chicken spaghetti, chicken and rice, chicken and peppers, chicken and olives, rosemary chicken breasts with roasted spuds, roasted chicken with cauliflower and carrots. Roasting chicken and adding any vegetable with sea salt or even better smoked sea salt is a win win 7 days a week if you ask me.

Back on the wagon train here.....18 day streak. Wanting to lose 25 lbs. Turn 44 next month. Currently sitting at 141lbs. I'm a shorty - so that lose goal isn't outrageous in comparison to my weight/height. I am a garmin connect user if you are interested let me know and I'll add you to compete in step goals. Wouldn't mind…

I limit my dessert to either items that are really special (Looking at you chocolate tower at Nichole's Fine Pastry) or home made. I rarely eat a pre packaged goodie except chocolate. I also limit baking to only Sundays. We have a family style dinner on Sundays - I usually attempt to make dessert something special and…

tuna - I believe is the highest bang for your calorie buck. I also like sardines. :=)

I enjoy the Nestle Bliss Sweet Cream - its only 35 calories in a full serving I believe - and usually cut that - I add in milk and a dash of creamer.

I must be a minority - I really can't stand the stuff. I'd much rather budget for the good stuff than eat something so dissatisfying. Its ice milk.

beets have a lot of sugar - hence easy to scorch - roast at 450 - coat well w/ olive oil and season. If they are boiled and peeled prior to roasting they taken roughly 10 minutes in a well heated oven. Grated beets make a great salad too! A little OJ, some olive oil and sea salt. They also make a great "soda". Look up beet…

10 hour days here - hour lunch. I too nap, do yoga and random kettle bell swings when I'm particularly motivated. The rest of the time I do stick to a 10000 step goal even if i have to do steps in place. Any steps I get in after work are gravy. I also do 10 squats every time I hit the bathroom (we have nice large…

huge fan of the lunch time nap - need to probably quit that and start lacing up my sneakers and getting in a walk/jog/wog once the sun comes out.

Your co workers thank you.

How did we do for last week? Still got our goals in sight? I messed up - ate too many calories and was short on steps. The weather took a turn for the worse which derailed me a bit. Getting back up there today - extra steps to compensate and will mindfully watch calories goals.

Joining the pity party - but eyes on the prize - back on the wagon!

Every time I quit - I stagnate and then there is always an event that triggers me to start again. Whether it be discomfort in bending down to tie my shoes, struggling to stay awake after a carb heavy snack/meal or just feeling of inadequacy. Trust your gut - you KNOW what you need to do to feel good and that is the goal -…

Totally doable - just get your mind straight!
