Also adding that to combat the office goodies - my rule is I don't indulge unless it is home made. I'm not a fan of those that bring store bought cookies to the office - how is that a treat?

Laughing so hard I'm crying over the "leave my desk so I don't get a blood clot or something" comment.... I have a step counter and make sure I get 10,000 steps in. I have mini goals through out the day - 2500 steps by the time I get to work, another 2500 on break, 2500 at lunch, 2500 second break. Therefore any steps I…

I'd love an accountability buddy. It seems I probably inundate my fb friends and probably my family members with my thoughts on keeping myself on the straight and narrow. It would be good to talk to someone like minded with similar goals. So on that note - add me if you want someone to report on your progressions and…

I have the opposite problem - my garmin seems to record non existent floors - I've searched the forums for an answer to the glitch but can't seem to find an answer. Right now it shows I have seven. I have one flight of stairs I climb in a day - and I've only climbed it once......

I had a fitbit forever it it provided motivation - however I had to replace it three times and kept forgetting to put it back on after a shower - recently got a garmin - I think vivosmart? I get the feeling your definition of real food and mine might clash - however with that said - my definition of real food is anything with less than five ingredients. So if that floats your boat - add me. I don't cut out food groups or any of that horse crap - but I also cook....not reheat packaged stuff. I should also add…

2 cups of spinach topped with last night's leftover vinegar salt roasted yukons and chopped pork loin and a house made latte

I would add in some resistance type exercise - weight lifting or body weight exercises. More muscle equals more fat burn. Great job on the running!

Breakfast: SMoothie - veggie based w/ just enough fruit to make it paleteable. Snack: Banana or apple Lunch: BIG salad heavy on the greens. Add a bit of other veggies for color. Seasoned w/ salt, pepper and either a squeeze of lemon juice or balsamic vinegar. Side of either deli turkey or whatever leftover protein from the…

Salads are my go to meal at work. At the beginning of the week I buy a big container of spinach or other greens (depending on what looks good at the market that week) I also buy a container of low fat cheese ( parm, mozarella (fresh) whatever - but I rotate it) and whatever other veggies/fruits look good that week.…

Where's the veggies?

I love these - after a week or so you'll see a HUGE difference in your skin tone and your energy levels.

I find more than anything the app reminds me to log my food and exercise. It doesn't necessarily deter me from eating something I probably shouldn't but it sure helps to know how much I have to burn off before the end of the day!

Try them once with banana "Ice cream" - mix in a bit of cocoa powder for chocolate....lower in fat - not so much in sugar though...
-
spinach or other greens are awesome in a smoothie - you don't taste them and they make a pretty green color.

HI! Awesome step in the right direction by heading off to the gym! What are you currently doing? What do you enjoy? Are you looking for cardio or strength or both?

Got a mall or other large building you can do laps in? How about a local school with an indoor track? If none of that is available check out bodyrocktv.com there is bound to be a workout that motivates you there!

Green smoothie...I normally don't like to eat either - but a smoothie is more like drinking a glass of juice but keeps you satiated. Spinach or other greens and a few pieces of your favorite fruit. Add some yogurt if you need protein to make you feel fuller longer.

I would be happy to see 130. I've been 135-140 for a few years. I can diet, exercise what have you and still stay around this mark...apparently it is my healthy weight! But I will admit there is a tiny voice in my brain that remembers when I was 115 and 120 twenty years ago and that voice still struggles to be heard once…
