ENJOY IT!! I still remember all the feels I had running my first 5k along with my 5 year old daughter who ran the last half mile or so with me....I had tears rolling down my face and never thought in a million years I would even run, yet alone run a whole 3 miles! Congrats and you'll do fabulous!

I'm a single mom, I work full time (40hrs) and I have the extreme luxury of working out at lunch. I'll stink to high heaven coming back, but I get anywhere from 3 to 4 miles in on the treadmill and I've lost almost 30 pounds since January. I also do Jillian Michael's 30 Day shred at night after she goes to bed. Some days I…

As a fellow Texan, American and daughter of a retired Dallas Police Officer, I am moved to tears. Reminds us that life is too short. Go hug your parents and tell 'em you love them. God bless America.

Yes. You can. I was 60 pounds overweight. A smoker. A drinker. I quit smoking. Stopped drinking. Started walking. For some straaange reason, I started running. Just a few minutes each day, than I just kept pushing myself further and further. I'm one of those that quit because it's too hard or I just get bored. 6 months…

I feel more love on here from total strangers than people who "say" they are my friend on FB. I'm addicted to MFP. Truly are my "pals" :)

I did it twice. The first time I only did what I could, took a water break if needed and tried to finish it....even if it killed me. The second time around, it still killed me, but at least I felt more accomplished and I still can't do a "regular" pushup. I do the modified. If I feel like a rockstar, I would do the other…
