I weighed myself this morning for a half way measurement. I figure if this is the only "rule" I break during this month then I'm doing ok. Down 4.4 lbs from April 1st thru the 15th. I won't weigh myself again until May 1st.

I have one of those air pumps that I put olive oil in. The eggs still stuck just a little. I think next time I will use paper liners but still spray them a little.

Fishy? Not that I recall. Do you add any dry seasoning to them? I have a shaker with some homemade taco seasoning that I throw in there & I also shake some red pepper flakes on top like "sprinkles. I've got enough heat going on that it would burn off any fishy taste LOL!! Breakfast is ready!

Finding this McDonalds ad somewhat ironic... Saw it at the bottom of one of our group threads.

I made these last week & plan on making another batch this weekend. http://paleoblocks.blogspot.com/2010/08/breakfast-muffins.html?m=1 I eat two (reheated in the microwave) with a half of a baked sweet potato (I keep several baked in the fridge at all times). Works like a charm!

I went grocery shopping tonight & stocked up on all my necessities for this coming week. I'll be cooking up a storm on Saturday!! Breakfast: Egg "muffins" http://paleoblocks.blogspot.com/2010/08/breakfast-muffins.html?m=1 baked sweet potatoes Lunch/Dinner: Coffee Roast…

^^^THIS THIS THIS. I was training (very smartly) for a marathon and about a week before my race, had a wonky pain in my hip that felt like the joint - not muscular. Ran my race the next week but DNF at mile 17. Took me suffering through three more weeks of pain before I finally went to the orthopedic - regular xray didn't…

I'm going to weigh myself on the 15th for a half way marker. Can't resist. I'm going to keep tracking my food for another week or so as I add more fats in to make sure my numbers are in line with where they need to be. *fingers crossed*

Send her a copy of the book New Rules Of Lifting For Women. http://www.thenewrulesoflifting.com/nrol-for-women Never be afraid to lift heavy. The chances of you getting huge bulky man muscles are very slim. My family has a hard time wrapping itself around my diet & running schedule when I'm training for a marathon. They…

Everything is a choice - food and alcohol. The decision is yours to make on whether to drink or not. Depends on how strict you want to be with the Whole30. In the grand scheme of things, it's *only* 30 days. You can do it.
-
Day 10 and I could not do without: -Air pump sprayer for my olive oil -Having veggies cleaned/prepped at all times for a quick stir-fry. -Sweet potatoes -The Internet/MFP/Pinterest, etc for recipes & ideas. Seriously!! I thought I'd really be suffering by not having any dairy or my favorite protein powder but I'm doing…

I really see KitchenAid & Cuisinart as my only real processor choices. The KitchenAid is about $50 cheaper so there's that.

Planning a week at a time and actual prepping for a few days at a time has helpe me tremendously. Focusing on one main protein (chicken or beef) for my lunches & dinner has been pretty easy to prep on the weekend so I can grab & go through the week. I keep veggies cleaned & chopped in the fridge and have made "egg muffins"…

You can search "whole30" on foodgawker.com too & find some new things to try as well.

I have been cooking up a STORM. Last night before bed I put red sauce in one crock pot and a ton of chicken breasts on a bed of onions & some seasonings in the other crock pot. I portioned out the red sauce in zip bags for meals, did the same with my chicken & have a ton of chopped veggies in the fridge waiting to start my…

KILL ALL THE THINGS!!! Love it. That's me anytime I'm hungry!!

I totally tried to convince my fiancé to look at the scale with me on it but eyes covered but he refused. Good man!!! I'm holding on without knowing but am convinced I'm dropping as my clothes are feeling looser. Not sure if its from this week, the last few weeks of clean-ish eating, or a combo of both. Probably the latter…

That. Is. Awesome.

Very pleased so far! I've mananged to stay off the scale (big deal for me) & remain totally compliant with the plan. The toughest part has been to not snack between meals (as suggested in It Starts With Food). I was pretty much eating every 2.5/3 hours before this so that's a big change for me.
-
WELCOME!!! I would encourage you to read their book It Starts With Food if you have the opportunity. It has changed my way of thinking about so many different foods/ideals - crazy insane life change going on over here. I have always been a black coffee drinker and ever though I'd enjoy a vanilla latte from time to time, it…

I ususally skip the cheese and go with eggs, veggies & chicken sausage or ground turkey. For each "cup" I'll use 1 egg, 1 oz of meat, 1-2 oz. of diced vegies. Little bit of salt/pepper/whatever mixed in w/ eggs. Put meat & veggie in each cup, egg on top of that. Bake @ 350 for 20-25 minutes, turn up broil last minute or so…

I came across a recipe today for buffalo chicken in the crock pot, using a whole chicken on top of sliced onions and a handful of spices rubbed on the bird but it did not use bottled hot sauce. My PC froze up at I went to print and I lost the link. I'm fairly certain I found the recipe through one of the links you posted…

If you do, see if there is a sports specialist. I lucked up with one and he was way more in tune with runner injuries. He spoke our language!! I ended up needing an MRI for the diagnosis, it didn't show up on an xray but it lit up that mri like a christmas tree. Good luck!!
-
Have you had any xrays done? I thought I was having the same probs - turned out to be a stress fracture in my hip. Before it was diagnosed, I'd stretch/yoga/foam roll the heck out of it and would get some relief but as soon as I'd try and do anything like elliptical or stair climb, it would flare up again (didn't dare run…

I agree with those encouraging you to still go and enjoy the trip. Walk the race if you can, support other runners if you can't. I broke my hip in December and was completely restricted from any cardio from the wasit down for 15 weeks (not even cycling/swiming). It was miserable - not going to sugar coat it - but be smart…

I'm in! Started today. Feel free to add me as a friend but please mention Whole30 in the add request. It's my first Whole30 and reading the book has been a major eye opener for me. If you have the opportunity/resources available to read it - DOOOOOO ITTTTTT. I've already put my scale in my kids bathroom (because really,…

I have a knockoff Spi belt that I picked up from an expo for about 10 bucks cheaper. Same concept. Two expandable areas (one of which they demo'd holding a soda can) and four elastic loops to hold Gu or shot blok type items. Also had two re-usable zip ties to hold race bibs on if you wanted it to dangle at your waist.…

I'm totally about to blog-stalk you. I just bought my first ever spaghetti squash & will be making sauce w/ meat later this week. YAY!!
