HR Zone Training
In the past have always trained without a real training plan. Interval run/walk with weekly long run mileage increases at reasonable rates. I'm currently recovering from an injury (hoping to be cleared to run in April) and have been doing some research on heart rate zone training with the theory being "stay in zone 2 and…

More Menu Ideas
Meal planning for next week and this is what's on deck: Pulled BBQ Chicken http://fudielalu.blogspot.com/2012/08/pulled-pork-in-bbq-sauce-day-13-meal-3.html?m=1 (Recipe is for pork, I'm subbing with chicken breast because they're on sale this week.) Meatloaf w/ Mashed "potatoes"…

Clean 15 & Dirty Dozen
Wonder which fruits and veggies are ok to buy non-organic? Wonder which ones you really really really should buy organic? These two posts explain the Clean 15 and The Dirty Dozen. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/04/22/clean-15-2013-fruits-vegetables_n_3132241.html…

After the 30...
What are your plans post-Whole30? Do you plan to continue as you have been going? Modified? Paleo/Primal? The occassional treat? While I've missed being able to indulge in the occassional treat, overall I've thoroughly LOVED this plan. I see myself sticking long term to a majority of the tenants of Paleo eating. I feel…

The End of My Whole30
My kids don't remember when their mom was fat. They don't remember the mom who sat on the couch all evening watching re-runs and eating hot dogs cooked in the toaster oven. They don't remember the mom - red-faced and out of breath from a simple preschool game of "duck duck goose" during a classroom visit. They don't…

Week FOUR (April 1st Starters)
I can NOT believe that we are in the home stretch for wrapping up this month! I've been menu planning for what I'd like to cook this weekend, realized that this will stock my freezer for more than a week - and even though I'll be officially done w/ the Whole30 then, I'm still looking forward to eating like this! My menu…

Online Grocer?
Anyone have good luck buying in bulk online? I'm thinking of things like coconut & almond flours, nuts, dates & even items like beef, chicken & bacon (organic, compliant, sugar free). So many things I want to stock my freezer & pantry with are difficult (at best) to find locally or exorbitant (at worst) in price.

Weighing (yourself) & Tracking (your food)
Staying off the scale has been hard and it's only Day 3 for me. I've moved it into my kids bathroom to avoid immediate temptation but want so badly to hop on after the first week just to see. I'd be ok to do it blind folded & then get a thumbs up or thumbs down from my daughter looking at the numbers. Your thoughts??? Food…

How are you *feeling*??
I'm on Day 17 and can say with certainty that the sugar cravings have finally subsided completely. I'm sleeping like a rock (used to wake up at least twice a night) and my skin is looking brighter. Wasn't having break out issues but it just looks better overall. What about you? Energy through the roof? Tiger Blood (HA!)??…

I saw this on Facebook today and had to repost it here...

Favorite Food Prep Tools
Food processors, blenders, mixers, etc... What's your favorite brand & why? I'm looking to get a large capacity processor (12-14 cup) and immersion blender. What do you recommend or warn against?

Anyone use HR Zone training with running?
I'm an experienced runner (yet it still feels weird to type that) and in the past have always trained without a real training plan. Interval run/walk with weekly long run mileage increases at reasonable rates. I'm currently recovering from an injury (hoping to be cleared to run in April) and have been doing some research…
