I love these books! Not the best writing but still pretty entertaining. I read they are making a movie...I am excited to see who they cast as Christian Grey!

When I got my HRM in December I had the same dose of reality you are facing now. I thought 60 minutes of Zumba was definitely burning 900-1000 calories. No such luck. According to my HRM I burn between 500-650 depending how hard I push myself. Walking, especially when you aren't increasing your heart rate much, doesn't…

I am in the same boat. Lots of folks seem motivated for a few weeks and then I never hear another thing. Would love to be friends with anyone looking to keep each other motivated!

MFP seems to be on the very high side when it comes to calories burned. I bought a HRM a few months back because I could tell how off MFP was. My guess is you are burning half of what MFP is saying. Congrats on the engagement and the decision to lose weight the healthy way! I joine MFP two months ago because of my engagement and upcoming Sept. 7 wedding. I am already down 30 pounds and feeling great! Feel free to add me and we can motivate one another to look and feel our best on our wedding days!

By doing it every two weeks I don't focus on my weight as the only indication I am succeeding. It is also awesome to step on the scale and see that…

I had to get an HRM because of how inaccurate MFP is. It can be depressing but I think it is better to know what you are actually burning then to eat more calories because MFP is over estimating. I love my HRM but it has been a sad couple of weeks when I realized that I am only burning 1100 calories when I thought I was…

Getting married September 7, 2012 and it has been a great motivator! I started my journey 7 weeks ago today and am down 24 lbs. so far. I have a long way to go but I am feeling great and hope to lose another 30 pounds by the time I get my dress. I am loving this thread!

A polar HRM (so excited!) and three personal training sessions. I also ordered the 30 day shred and new workout pants for myself with an Amazon gift card from a friend. What a wonderful Christmas!
