  • Jack Skellington :)
  • My boyfriend always has Doritos in the house when he has friends over, which usually coincides with drinking and late nights. So...that tends to be my downfall! And he makes these killer nachos that include a full bag of tortilla chips, a full bag of shredded cheese, a pound of beef, two chicken breasts, a bunch of…
  • That's a great way to cut calories, and MSG! And since I forgot before, CONGRATULATIONS! Babies are this world's biggest blessing!
  • Definitely talk to your doctor, and listen to your body. Healthy weight gain for pregnancy for someone within a normal weight range is 25-35 pounds, but it varies from person to person. Exercise at your normal level (don't suddenly increase to keep the weight off) and don't binge or deprive yourself.
  • Oh my gosh, yessssssss
  • Oh god...I think I'll give this a try! The weekend between 2 and 3 I'll be gone on vacation though, so I'll just have to try to fit in my goals before and after!
  • I would go CRAZY if I tried to log every grain of salt and pepper. So no spices or herbs, no black coffee (I work night shift...that's a lot of coffee...), no tea, and no water flavorings (like Crystal Light 5 calorie packs). I'm sure I'll survive.
  • Make your own flour blends to make your own bread, it makes it a LOT cheaper! And the bread can turn out ohhhhh so good!
  • I'm going to stalk this board for the recipes too...I'm gluten and dairy free, but the worst cook under the sun!
  • When I go out for drinks with my friends, I go over my calories by at least 500 by fruity-patootie drinks alone. And then the alcohol makes me crave Snickers bars and potato chips and pasta and gummy bears...and I eat more and more. The next day I probably have a worse food hangover than an alcohol hangover! I just haul my…
  • I work 12 hour night shift - I wake up and eat something right before work, and then I log everything that I plan on eating at work before I go to work as well, as I'm packing up my bag. I usually have one bigger item (tonight was quinoa mac and cheese) and a lot of little snacks (pretzels, peanut butter, a plum, a banana,…
  • The only bone I've ever broken is my tailbone...because I fell down a flight of stairs and hit every. single. step. on the way down. And it never healed because I was in the middle of clinicals for nursing school and wasn't able to stay off my feet for a month. Uff da.
  • I just really love your counter at the bottom. cats :)
  • I count my creamer and Stevia that I put in my coffee, but not the actual coffee itself. I also use low-fat and sugar-free creamers, which are only about 15-35 calories a serving. It adds up if you drink a TON, but it's usually fine! As for veggies, I count them for the fiber mainly, and to know that I'm actually eating…
  • I was raised Catholic, but I don't really follow it now. I still observe Lent because it's a time in the year for me to check myself and what I am doing with my life - how much alcohol I consume, how much sugar I eat, how much fast food I'm eating, how much I'm working out. If I'm out of check in certain areas of my life,…
  • I gave up controlling my calories as strictly. I have been strictly limiting my calories to 1200 since October, and, while I have lost a fair amount of weight, it was driving me crazy and making me unhappy. So I increased my calorie limit by a bit to where I'm still able to lose weight (with a little increased exercise)…
  • I say stay home either way. Having a cold is your body's way of saying "slow down, I need a break and need to heal". Go for a walk instead, and don't take your germs to the gym. Head colds can still be very contagious, and no one needs that. Chances are you may have picked up the cold at the gym in the first place! Rest,…
  • The biggest (and really only) comment I get is about my collarbones, usually from my mom and boyfriend. I feel like there is so much more to me than my stick-out collarbones!
  • My plan is to do the C25K, it looks like the best way to go. I use albuterol occasionally, but it makes me incredibly jittery and short of breath, so I tend to avoid it. I had never considered using a gaiter to cover my mouth in the cold (especially here in Colorado, great idea!), so I'll have to start that!
  • I want to kick my asthma in the butt! I can't use an inhaler (I have crazy reactions to the steroids, even to albuterol...it's no fun  ), so even jogging is hard for me. I know if I work slow and steady, I'll be able to beat it in the end! Oh, and I want to continue to be able to do more crunches (of all kinds) than…
  • I work 12 hour night shifts, and I put everything I plan on eating at work into MFP before I go to work. This way, I don't overeat or snack or graze while I'm at work, and I can bring enough snacks with me that I know will fit into my calorie limit. Like others, I log my "eating day" from when I wake up at 4:00pm until…
