I did a 10-mile race 3 weeks ago: 12:44 pace, which inspired me. My marathon goal is to finish under 6 hours and to see if the experience is something I would want to repeat. I have access to a company fitness center on weekdays and do longer runs on the weekend.

I'm in the same situation too, trying to be in the best shape I can at age 50 next January. I'm getting there but the fast food/sweet tooth demons are making it hard. Y'all friend me if you want!

Had a charcoal grill for the longest time until I broke down and got a gas grill. Just pay attention to the flavoring of the meat and you'll be ok. Don't miss the charcoals at all.
