SOAS tri shorts are super comfortable--I love them. I only like the top that goes with them though. I like the waistband on the shorts (more like a yoga pant top) and the band on the thigh is not tight (but still has grippies so they don't ride up). I hope that's somewhat helpful/informative! :)

I'm 5'4" and am currently 140; with a goal of 130 (and then re-assess from there).

Yes, this happens to me! I don't have any advice but just accept what has happened and move on from there. You know you don't want 1lb to turn into 2 or 3.... We are going to fluctuate once we hit our goals, too, and I think part of the process is learning to deal with things like this. Try to reel yourself in, remember…

I check every morning but only record Fridays. It helps motivate me to see the number each day (whether it is up or down).

Great work! I agree that setting some mini-goals will help you (time/distance/race). The more you get out there the more confident you'll feel. Keep it up!!

I took lessons a couple of years ago (I had taken them when I was a kid but just as basic survival skills, I guess!) and it was the best thing I've done for myself as an adult. Sure, I felt like a dork signing up and going to my first lesson but after that I was just so pleased with all that I learned!

Start now! Weekends and time with family will continue to happen and you'll need to learn how to manage it. Good luck!!

I sent you one! :)

The link for the recipe isn't working for me... is it possible to post the recipe here? I'd love to try them! :)

I've been through all of the pages and will add some twins but here's my info for anyone else who comes along after I add this! :) age: 37 height: 5' 4" cw: 144 gw: 125 I have three kids (8, 6, & 4) and I'm vegetarian and a runner-turned-triathlete (I'm mediocre at all three sports but I hope to see improvements in my…

Hi, I'm Becky and I'm training for my first HIM in May (Busselton). I am 37 and am from MN/CO/TX but currently living in Singapore. I did three sprints in 2012 and two olympics in 2013. I've said for a few years now that I want to do a full IM when my kids are all in school full time (2014-2015 school year) so I decided to…

My husband lost around 50lbs and his snoring went away. THANK GOODNESS! I hope yours does, too--it's no fun for anyone. :)

I really like my Fitbit ONE b/c I can stick it in my pocket--I think I'd hate having it on my wrist all of the time.

I'm 5'4" and I'm aiming for 130 now; I'll reassess when I get there.

Hi there, I am a vegetarian as of April last year--I'm still trying to figure it all out as well! :)

I'm doing the Busselton 70.3 and plan to do IM Texas in 2015 assuming we move back to Texas in time for that. :) (I'll have to choose a different one otherwise, I suppose! We live in Singapore now & I typically don't like to have to travel for a race but I will!) All of my kids will be in school full-time starting this…

I'm doing my first 70.3 in May!

I also plan to do an Ironman in 2015 (all the kids will be in school full-time). I'm doing my first 70.3 in May this year.

Missy, I am also doing my first 70.3 this spring (in May). I am glad I found this group... Now I'll have to go through and read all of the posts. :)
