That's exciting!!!! Spring will be here soon and we'll be able to get outside on the bike, in the meantime spin class and the trainer. You may want to try www.terrybicycles.com for clothing, they have plus sizes. Also, if you sign up to receive their emails they have "Pro Deal Mondays" where they offer a certain item or…

Does MFP have you set at 1200 calories a day or is this an amount that you set? Also, if you're working out 5 days a week are you eating back your exercise calories? You may not be taking in enough calories and this may be what's stahling your weight loss.

I just finished week 1. I did take before pics and measurements, so we'll see.

As mentioned above, your shoe laces are probably too tight.

Make sure that you're stretching well before and after your runs and listen to your body, we don't bounce back quite as fast as we use to.

Sodium....

Yes, it will affect your weight loss. I'm in favor of drinks but depending on what your drinking it can be very high in calories.

Welcome Kristen, this is a great site and has a lot of support and runners on it, so i'm sure that you won't be disappointed. I have several half marathons on my calendar for this year leading up to a full in November.

Maybe if you eat and drink water before all of the events, you won't be as hungry. This way you can still sample all of your favorites but won't indulge.

I think the 117 is a great weight at 5'3" and think 100 would be unhealthy.

Once they see the progress that you're making, they'll not only become supportive but they'll want to now how you're doing it and join MFP also. Keep going, remember you're doing this for you, so you'll feel better. Keep up the good work!

Yes. At every 10 pounds it will ask you if you would like it to adjust. Just to let you know it takes calories away when you adjust.

In most real estate contracts there is a clause that should be checked that it will be subject to appraisal. If it does not appraise out the bank will either need to lower the sales price, make up the difference with your own cash or you can walk away from the deal getting your earnest money back. In this case, if the…

I joined MFP out of spite. I was a fairly active person prior to joining MFP, completed a sprint distance tri, 1/2 marathon and some large mileage bike rides. I was never able to lose weight despite my activity level. I felt like I didn't eat a lot but once I joined MFP and saw where my calories were coming from and how…

You look AWESOME!!!! Keep up the great work, you'll get to you goal weight before you know it!!

You should maintain at least 1200 NET calories a day. If you fall short of this on occasion it's not a big deal but you should not consistently be short of this.
-
I prefer free weights, they are more intense than the machines since they require your body to do 100% of the work.
-
Not at all!!!! That's what we're all hoping for!!!!
-
Sleep!!!! Without a doubt, you need your energy for your workouts. if you wear your body down you'll get sick.
-
Yes, if your "net" calories are consistently under 1200 this could definitely be why you're not losing. Make sure that you're eating your exercise calories.
-
I would but am traveling for the next week. I've entered it in as circut training for 20 minutes. Enjoy it!
-
Are you eating back your exercise calories? This is very important because if you're not you may be "netting" less than 1200 calories a day which on a consistent basis could be the cause of your stahl. Recently this was a topic of discussion and now I have noticed that when it shows your calories left it also shows "net"…

Congratulations!!!! Running can become very addictive, it's a great opportunity to clear your head or just take in the sights. The running community is very supportive and everyone's is willing to help and to be a cheerleader.
