You hit it right on the nose.....You need to approach your longer runs for endurance and not worry too much about your pace. It's not going to do you any good if you can go 15 miles at a fast pace, burn out and have a hard time finishing the last 11 miles. I find that the "energy" of the event will push me to go faster…

I'm in for at least 96oz a day. :flowerforyou:

Haven't checked it out yet but I can't imagine keeping my body going for that length of time without fueling it.

I need to taper this week for my tri on Saturday so I'll commit to 4,000 for the Burn Baby Burn Challenge.

Hello everyone....My name is Tana and I've been with MFP for almost a year. I'm 8-15 pounds away from where I would like to be. Realisticly more like 8, I'm not sure if I could sustain 15. I've pretty much plateaued for months now. I'm a triathlete but swimming is my weak area. I've done 5 half marathons and am registered…

Oh...BTW eat the cereal

Are you eating back your exercise calories? You need to "net" at least 1200 calories a day. Chances are you need more food to fuel your body.
-
Sounds like what I need to get to my goal weight, I'm in
-
I take GU Chomps about every 45 minutes of biking/running, only 100 calories but you get the carbs you need.

I would check CW-X products. I've not used their sports bra's before but I run in thier tights quite a bit and they're AWESOME. I can only imagine that their bra's would be the same. I've read reviews and everything seems to be positive. http://cw-x.com/Default.aspx

I'm in....shooting for 200+, shouldn't be a problem, weather permitting.

I started MFP last June and losing some weight has really helped me get up the hills a little quicker. Don't get me wrong I still HATE hills and we have a LOT of hills here. This site has really helped me with portion control. Although tonight as I was coming in from my 22 mile ride with winds at 22mph and tornado warnings…

It's one of the best feelings when you cross that finish line!!!! Congrats!!!!!
-
Thanks for posting....Love it!

I wear a HTM when I bike and run and it's USUALLY fairly close (within 20 calories). It was within 1 calorie tonight when I entered my bike ride. I don't know how accurate is on other activities but I would think it's close.

LOVE.....LOVE....LOVE Bondi bands, just picked up 6 new ones over the weekend!!!

No question....You need to rest. If you push through you may be making things worse.
-
And you had m&m's.....sounds like a win-win to me

I've been running in Brooks for awhile now and LOVE them!!!! It's important to have good running shoes and Brooks makes a good shoe, well worth the money!!! Happy Running
-
Bump....I plan on doing 2 tri's over the summer months. I'd be intereseted in hearing any feedback.
-
This may sound funny but are your shoe laces tied too tight? I'm a runner and sometimes I get pain there form my laces being too tight.
-
Might want to try this post: http://shouldieatmyexercisecalories.com/ Hope it helps.
-
It will be well worth your time to at least stop in and get fitted for the proper shoe since you're just starting out. Not having the proper shoe for running can cause injury and that's just no fun.

Am I reading this right??? You burn 1100-1500 calories a day but don't eat back any of those calories??? If that's correct that is most likely why you are not losing. You need to eat back most of those calories, you need to net 1200 calories a day (for the most part) and you're probably not anywhere near that.
