Encouraging to see there's still hope for people who have been regularly underfeeding themselves. The body is pretty amazing, I say.

This one is wonderful and well worth the effort! From 101 Cookbooks blogspot (http://www.101cookbooks.com/archives/heathers-quinoa-recipe.html) Heather's Quinoa Recipe If you don't have the time or inclination to roast cherry tomatoes, substitute some chopped, moist, sun-dried tomatoes. Also, a delicious alternative to the…

Ok, so I'm only on my third day of following this method and I've lost 0.4lbs. That may not sound like much but it's on track for the 1lb a week that I'm aiming for, and I've been hovering around the same weight for a while now. Fingers crossed this continues, slow and steady! I can't believe I can eat over 2000 calories a…

Sure do, I'm from London.

Hi Teresa, Did you take a break? How did it go with regards to your weight gain? I have been reading this topic in the forum: 'An easier way to set up goal calories'. It might be the solution you are after, I'm giving it a go myself and feel better already. Seems I was 'under eating'! Who knew?

It's not just you. I find it impressive but at the same time I don't find it that attractive... I think a bit of definition/tone is nice but nothing you could describe as actual abs. I have to say I am pretty much of the same opinion about guys - I like tone and some nice definition but too much just freaks me out.

I'd love to have that body to. I could get close, but my boobs would be smaller than hers. But that's ok, I'll take it!

I'm not an expert but I'd guess that is completely normal. I suppose because you are eating more you've increased your metabolism and therefore more likely to feel hungry. I am doing the same thing with the same result - hungrier! But I think it's a good sign and hopefully will settle down after a few days. I've often…

I don't think the point is that people HAVE to eat at least 1200 to lose weight. You've lost 12lbs in 10 days on an extremely low calorie diet, but most likely you'll hit a plateau at some point and you won't be able to keep losing weight without either reducing this intake further and/or increasing exercise. Then when you…

A dress from my favourite designer (Dries van Noten) as I've always wanted one.

Hi, I'm just over 5'7" and currently 161lbs, down from 170lbs over quite a few months. At my largest I was a UK14 on top and a UK16-18 on the botton. I'm a pear shape, so currently about UK12 on top and 14 on the bottom. My goal is 136lbs which is lower than I was as a teenager and back then I weighed about 145-150lbs and…

Dear Heybales, many thanks for taking the time to respond to so many queries from so many people! It's great to see some truly supportive and sensible advice on here. I ate around 1750 calories yesterday (up from the usual 1300-1600) and woke up ravenous, so it seems my metabolism is already responding! I also feel…

Hi, your system seems sensible to me, it's basically what my Mum and Dad always told me - the best way to lose weight is eat sensibly (i.e. a bit less but not too little) and move more. MFP tells me to reach my goal I can only consume 1200 calories a day, but I aways felt that was too low and usually eat at least 1400,…

Wow, what a cow! If only you could have leapt down stairs and crushed her! lol! Some people are just unbelieveable oxygen thieves... But it's a real pity you've got that for a mother in law. From your husband's response it sounds like his Mum might have always been this rude so don't let it get you down!

Sometimes I find I've gained a pound or so after a couple of days of heavy exercise. Someone commented a while back on the forum that your body may retain water to assist repairing itself after intensive exercise, so this may be what is affecting you. Try taking a day or two off from the exercise and see what happens, or…
