I don't think there is any requirement that you eat any of it. Having said that, if I were in your shoes, I would smile graciously, say thank you, and eat one. I would savor it and fully enjoy it - and then offer the rest to others around me. One pastry isn't going to kill my eating plan (even though it's not *part* of my…

Menu planning for next two weeks... complete!

I think that's just you...

I did Day 2 today - Agility X. I worked pretty hard - average heart rate of 155 bpm for the workout, and according to my HRM burned 663 Calories. (I question the accuracy of the calculated calorie burn - but I have no doubt it was a lot! ) If you want the Beach Body one, Amazon has it for about $45, and I received…

I finally got started with my P90X3 yesterday - and I was so wiped out when I finished Total Synergistics that I didn't bother logging it until today. :noway: I am *SO* out of shape. :embarassed: On the plus side, I've got LOTS of room for progress!

Breakfast bacon cups? Recipe? :D

This is true... if by "disgusting and immoral" you mean, "tasty and wonderful."

I started working out first thing in the morning a while back. I had some friends tell me that by doing that people sleep better, and they feel better throughout the day since they started the day with a workout. I found that I didn't sleep any better (although really... I don't think it's possible to sleep better than I…

I am not doing the nutrition plan recommended in the P90X3 packet. I don't think it's a bad plan - but it is too carb-heavy for me. I really have found that I lose weight, have more energy, and feel less hungry when I'm on a low-carb, high fat/proteing diet. I'm currently going with my carbs at only 10% of my daily caloric…

4themoney is right - Shakeology isn't "about the same as chocolate milk." (I was thinking of the recovery drink when I made that comment.) It still costs too much for my money - but I needed to correct my earlier comment on Shakeology.

Tabasco chocolate wedges. A little bit of sweet, a little bit of spicy - and very satisfying to take a single small wedge and savor it for my treat. Mmmmmm.
-
I did it, and didn't like it - but only because it was very effective at showing me how far I have to go. I'd definitely recommend doing it, so you have something to compare to when you are done and can therefore see your progress!

I am not taking it. My understanding is that it is pretty good - but not necessarily better than plain old chocolate milk. :)

I planned to start this week, but wound up traveling for work, which made it tough to get on a regular schedule. I did one workout while on the road, but wasn't able to either on the day of my trip out, or back, just due to time. Rather than trying to catch up on my workouts somehow, I think I'll just "reboot" and start…

Looks good to me. I've set my macros at 50f/40p/10c, so somewhat similar. (I'm not too worried about the protein/fat balance - more about keeping the carbs low and the others high.) I joined the group and started logging my food about a week ago. I am starting P90X3 tonight (doing the "lean" program), so I'll be right…

That's crazy talk!
-
You have made the switch to "not bacon"!
-
I will be starting the Classic schedule on Monday, and am eating a low-carb, high fat, high protein diet.
-
I'm going to do Lean, starting next Monday. I chose lean because I'm... not.

Hello from a late entry to the group. :) I'm 44 years old, and have so far lost about 200 pounds. (Unfortunately it's been mostly about 20 pounds at a time, with a 25 pound gain between them... ) I did pretty well about a year ago with weight loss and fitness for a while, but eventually allowed life to get in the…

Deciding somebody has a major character flaw based on an internet forum post is a major character flaw. (What can I say... I'm flawed...)

I was going to reply, but saw that this post stated everything I thought needed to be said (and probably better than I would have). So... this!

Funny... I hope you're right...

Seahawks fan here... Um... sorry about yesterday.

Seattle Seahawks!!!

I decided to try being a vegetarian. I went cold turkey (heh...) - no waffling for me! Eventually, though, I just missed having the meat so much I had to go back. To each his own, but that was the worst six hours of my life...

If it was me, I'd put it in a catapult or trebuchet and throw it as far as possible...

I have a reaction to aspartame, but I don't remember what it is... (I kid, I kid...) Actually, I do have an allergic reaction to aspartame. For me, my throat starts to close up and I become short of breath - so I am pretty careful to stay away from it. My reaction to Sucralose is more like, "ewww, that doesn't…

There is a really good chocolate cake I found a recipe for a couple of years ago. Between the cake and the frosting, it has one and a half cups of butter, three cups of granulated sugar, and nine (9!) cups of confectioners sugar. It also has jalapeno sauce, which you'd think would make it bad - but I can't tell you how…

But you repeat yourself... Just kidding. If you're signing up to train for a marathon, good for you! Follow the advice of those that have done it, and have been successful, from a similar starting point. (Don't listen to people like me who really aren't helpful for any useful advice. I couldn't run a marathon - or…
