If something is destroyed, it is "ruined", correct? My boyfriend and the majority of his family claim that it is "roined". It's so weird to me! I also cannot STAND when customers ask me for the "ranch-a-dilla" wings when it's clearly spelled out on the menu in front of them... FOR THE RECORD.. It's r-a-n-c-h-i-l-a-d-a.…

Sorry I'm a few days late on the replies, but I wanted everyone to know how much the kind words mean to me! Can't thank you enough <3

Haha, no my eyes are not crossed, I was joking around while my boyfriend took the pictures :glasses:

I used to tell myself that it was never possible to lose any large amount of weight, but I proved myself wrong! I think the beginning was the hardest, but once you get used to logging everything you eat, it becomes part of your day. If I forget to log something, I will log it later in the day or whatever, just as long as…

I honestly am not sure what the exact secret was. I think maybe a combination of realizing I didn't need as much food as I had been eating to stay full, exercising a lot at first, and logging every single day no matter how horrifying it was to see haha. Also, I started a job serving tables at a restaurant, so I'm…

It took me a total of 9 1/2 months. Not every day was perfect, but I did what I could to keep up with the logging!

Thanks! I forgot I put up the one of me crossing my eyes into the collage.. haha. What can I say, I have fun.
-
That's awesome progress so far! You can do it! Always stay positive & patient :)

I also forgot to add that I cut WAY back on alcohol and soda while starting MFP. Now, I'll have a beer and here and there, and a soda once in a blue moon. I think that was another huge factor that helped me lose all this weight.

I was 175ish in November 2011 and am now 136- almost to my goal of 130. The beginning was the hardest part. I had to re-learn to eat and my relationship with food. When I started, I'd exercise multiple times a week doing mainly cardio for around 30 minutes, and then sometimes strength training. I eat when I'm hungry and I…

Anything that makes me happy or is upbeat! I usually play the Skrillex Pandora station or Hootie and the Blowfish (which gives you a great assortment of 90's classics). Best of luck!

To EVERYONE- Thank you x10000000000, it is really awesome to hear such kind words:heart: :flowerforyou:

Haha, exactly. One of the only good things about being short is being able to notice the weight loss, even if it isn't that much. Congrats on your loss as well!

For those asking what I did to lose the weight: I mainly just watched what I ate and tried to stay within my calorie limit (which was initially 1200, and now is 1280). Sometimes I go over, I'm not perfect haha. But with time and just being more active (I'm on my feet and walking the majority of my time at work), it's…

It took me about 6 months

Thanks everyone :) I have been wanting to be able to post in this forum since I joined, and finally can! I used to look at before and after pictures of members to motivate me. I never thought in a million years I could lose the weight and become a "success story" Woo! Good luck to you all, we can do it!

I am also in college full time and work about 20 hours per week. I am on an extremely tight budget and I agree that eating really healthy can be expensive but I have found some ways to avoid breaking my bank account at the grocery store. First of all, I only buy fresh things I know I will eat before it goes bad so that I'm…

I've always been a little heavier than the rest of my friends growing up, but just recently graduated into the "pretty freakin overweight" category that I'm desperately trying to get out of! I've learned since I started MFP that my weight isn't going to just fall off. I have had to DRASTICALLY change my eating habits and…

I just finished my second day of it. I am also looking for more of a movement on the scale. I am doing it along side with a long brisk walk each day or another type of cardio. I think the 30 Day Shred is going to help with endurance for when more of the body fat is gone. Hope you enjoy it! It's tough but worth it!

Isaac Hanson... because I sat outside of their tour bus for 2 hours to catch them walking into the venue. This was in 2010. Best day of my life! He was super nice, and always my favorite Hanson :)

Normally when I know I will be at work or school all day, I bring things that are easy yet healthy. For example: A sandwich you can make the night before on whole wheat bread with turkey or chicken, reduced fat cheese, and tons of veggies (lettuce, onion, cucumbers, tomato, etc). I'm not a mayo eater, but if you are, I…

I appreciate the new insight. Like I said, I'm not here to hurt anyone's feelings. Maybe now I will be more understanding of the fact that everyone is different and has different goals. BTW- great weight loss!

Woops, just realized I'm a bit late on this... hahaha

I would love to do this! My current weight is 169 My goal weight for this is 163 I'm a 22 year old college student. Looking to drop my weight that I have gained over the past 3 1/2 years, plus some (to have a healthy body fat percentage and BMI). I'm always up for new MFP friends, add me and let's motivate each other!

I have also been thinking the exact same thing! I know that I don't always make the best food choices, but staying within my calorie limit is really important to me. If I want a treat, then I will workout a little harder that day. Some diaries I've looked at consistently have soda and fast food with absolutely no exercise…

I don't believe it matters whether or not it's raw or cooked, unless you use oil or anything else while preparing it. When I cook food, (if I use olive oil or anything) I just log how much I used of that separately.
-
Awesome progress! Congrats :)

Smoked turkey sausage with onion, squash, and tomato. Mmm!

Have you ever tried Crystal Light? They have tons of flavors and some stores even have the generic version of Crystal Light that tastes almost identical. It's also pretty inexpensive. That's what I drink when I get bored with water anyways. :)

I'm a college student and I think it is just an excuse. I used to do it!.. Until I actually stopped and looked at how much I was spending eating pizza on campus, late night fast food, and going out to eat with friends. Now that I am strictly eating at home, my bank account is thanking me. When I go to the store, I purchase…
