I am always on the look out for additional snack ideas. Since I tend to be busy during the day I keep a variety of protein/balance bars in my desk drawer so I have options depending on dietary needs for the day.

I weigh all high calorie foods to the gram. I usually eyeball my vegetables.

My wife and I rented a cabin last weekend to get away from the kids. We figuratively burned 7000 calories a day that weekend.

A full day of unlimited calories can wipe out an entire weeks deficit. It's best to log everything and still eat anything you want in smaller portions.

I find when I eat more fat I feel filler longer. When I eat sugar, well, I could eat 5000 calories and not feel full. Definitely eat more fat.

I noticed it in my wife when she lost 10 pounds. I don't think she noticed it in my 10 pounds though.

Not technically a ride but I couldn't resist.

That I am.

I bet that would be a great ride. I actually was born and raised in WA (out on the peninsula).

Thanks for all the comments. I look forward to sharing my riding adventures with you all.

I always keep a stash of different types of protein or zone bars in my desk so I can grab one depending on my needs for the day.

He is 17 months. I know it will get easier. Its just getting over that hump to get into a good routine.

I am actually going to try over my lunch hour today for the first time. Should be able to squeeze in a half hour. Would like to do more but figure some is better than none.

Thanks for all the replies. Some great ideas that I am looking forward to trying all summer long.

You are doing awesome!!! I will see you at the gym later.

Use the brownie as motivation. Work a little extra hard in the gym and go for it as a reward.

I have tried the going to bed early thing but always end up waking up after just a few hours and find it difficult to go back to sleep (if at all). I may just have to try to force myself to bed early even if it means some restless nights in hopes that it eventually takes.
