I had liability only on a car of about the same value...then I ran into a horse on a major highway. Totaled the car, received nothing from the homeowners insurance of the horse owner. Several thousand later in insurance co-pays, I wished that I'd had at least comprehensive to cover the loss of the car. I'll never have…

I just bought a bridesmaid dress from David's Bridal and was told that they offer a one time exchange, so maybe check on that. I'm not sure if they have the same policy across all of their stores. My suggestion would be to keep going with your weight loss and schedule an appointment about 6 weeks before the wedding to make…

Nike training club, free app. I love it. If I'd known about it before I joined a gym, I wouldn't have joined. Every bit as good as a personal trainer.

I would think that since the ovaries are the source of the hormones, if they are still there you'd get everything except the bleeding. I have only one ovary and was told nothing would change, and it didn't.

2012 Hyundai elantra. They don't even give you a donut anymore, just a " repair kit" to fix the tire yourself.

I was vegetarian and the same way. My husband would (lovingly) point out that I was eating mostly carbs, but I reasoned things out in my own mind. It wasn't until I went to a nutrition therapist to see if I was getting the right nutrients for my body on my new lifestyle that I saw what I was doing. She pointed out that I…

Totally not scientific but... I googled how long food stays in the stomach. It said 3-4 hours. I would estimate you could get close by dividing your calories by four hours. If the food stays down 1 hour then count 1/4 of the calories and so on. If you want to get really close you could break it down into smaller…

I think whether you miss out on having siblings depends on the effort of the parent. Do you keep them occupied, make sure they have friends their age to play with regularly, spend time with them, act like a kid yourself on occasion?

I got mine done when I was 6. I never left them alone and they were always infected. Because of this, I had my daughter's done when she was a baby. My reasoning was that if they were always a part of her she wouldn't fiddle with them and they wouldn't be so prone to infections. I can see why others would choose to wait. I…

There were, and continue to be many, but the one I remember the most was when my daughter drew a picture of our family and she drew me round. kinda funny, but ouch!

Stopping and thinking is good. I found reminding myself that there will be other cookies/cupcakes/donuts etc and that I really didn't need it was pretty effective. If it was something different that I don't really get to have often or ever, I'd allow myself a taste. It doesn't work all the time, but definitely helped me…

Very insightful... And it made me laugh :-)

I had gone vegetarian and was concerned I wasn't getting everything I needed so I saw a nutrition therapist. She pointed out that I was essentially replacing my proteins at meals with carbs. To be a healthy vegetarian/vegan it would take a lot of time and coordination for me (not speaking for everyone) to get everything I…

Do you think you would actually go to the gym?

This! I was a vegetarian, but I started seeing a nutrition therapist and found that I was replacing my proteins with carbs, which wasn't helping me with my separate weight loss goals.
