  • Drink low calorie cocktails - like white wine. Have one wine, then fill glass with water once or twice - have another wine - then more water. I usually have two glasses of wine this way - for an average of 4 hr party. I also eat before (unless of course it is a sit down dinner party) so I am not tempted by all the goodies.…

  • In answer to your question - YES it adds calories.
  • They are jealous and when they see you getting healtier it reminds them that they are not! It's their problem - not yours. Just continue doing what you are doing. When they get to you say something like "I would hope my family would support my quest to live a healthy life". and leave it at that. Do not let their comments…
  • Hungry Girl has one. http://www.hungry-girl.com/newsletters/raw/725
  • Great work! I am 5'7" and was in my 120's in high school - 135 in my 20's and felt thin. Now I would be happy at 145-150!
  • For me - with my height, weight, sex and age - I go by my HRM and the MFP numbers are quite inaccurate. When I started and went by the numbers here I just made sure that I did not eat half of the exercise calories - at least!
  • First - congrats. You have gone from adorable to gorgeous. Huge burn at Zumba. Are you wearing an HRM. I ask because I burn just under 400 in one hour class and we are within 10 lbs in weight. I give it my all too! If not, I recommend getting one so you know what you are really burning. If you are reaching those big…
  • You will probably bring food for the baby (unless still on Mommy's) - so bring some healthy snacks for yourself too. Watch the sodium for the next few days and drink plenty of water - double up. Airports have lots of healthy options - grab a nice salad!
  • Here is my rating - on what I have: Wii Fit Plus - GREAT for starting out. Started with Advanced Step. Now use it still for Free run, Free Step, Strength exercises and Boxing EA Sports Active 2 - just received and have done a few times. Different than Wii Fit Plus - a good workout! Jillian Michaels Fitness Ultimatum 2010 -…
  • Remember you are burning calories when you are not working out - even sleeping. You can see this on your goals page - left hand column (what MFP has calculated for you).
  • For Thanksgiving the original Miracle on 34th Street For Christmas - Love Actually or White Christmas!
  • Weeeeeeee - look at you go! Awesome results - I am sure from lots of hard work.
  • Good luck to both of you. You will find a wealth of information on the message boards - including tips and recipes. It CAN be done!
  • Sounds really great for a cold day. Never heard of frozen egg noodles but I guess I could use regular if I can't find those. Thanks
  • Never heard of it - thanks for posting. Prunes, huh? Well - I will have to give it a try!
  • You have to find what works for you. Try different things. I do not eat ALL my exercise calories - almost always eat some. Just depends on how hungry I am that day. Good luck!
  • Most people here say you should eat some of your exercise calories. For me I usually end up anywhere from 1200-1500 (about 1/2 exercise calories) dependent upon how hungry I am. I eat small meals often and am not going hungry. Test out what works for you!
  • Best way is to get a heart rate monitor and create an exercise under My Exercises. If not - use circuit training and use the MFP numbers - just know they are not correct - just an estimate.
  • Log it! Exercise and move on to the next day. This is real life. You log so you remember!
  • Someone posted this chicken dip/spread the other day - may be good for you. . http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/139673-chicken-clucks?hl=Chicken#posts-1902087 Healthy wraps sliced for individual servings may also be good. • Oh boy do I know - that's how we got this way. You will find LOTS of low calorie options for the food you are eating now. No fast food and no pre-packaged or frozen meals. Gotta cook and use lots of chicken, fish, pork, veggies, fruit. GARLIC works wonders for steaming with your veggies - no need for even salt. I spent…
  • I LOVE fish - but it has to be wild caught AND fresh! For a white fish (like halibut) I toss it in a light bottled italian dressing and sprinkle panko breadcrumbs on it I bake at 350 for 30 mins (one or two seperate pieces). How easy is THAT! AND delicious!
  • Lie is a strong word. I agree with previous posters and it WORKS for me :-)
  • Many restaurants will do something for you - grilled fish or chicken breast with that salad. Some even have low cal options for dressing. Have one half piece of pizza too :-)
  • Perhaps you are not looking in the right place. There are tabs at the top of your diary. Remember Meal is inserted into My Meals tab.
  • I too love PopChips or the Trader Joes version (Popped Chips) if you have one nearby. I say this - but I can just eat a few (usually half serving with a sandwich). Mini bag of popcorn (Orville Reddenbacher Smart Pop 100 cal bags) may work for ya too :-) I do not like the Baked chips :-(
  • I looked everywhere and ended up paying the $59.99 for them at www.zumba.com I did not find them comparable to the class - but they are fun. Do you have a Wii? If so the Zumba for Wii IS comparable to class - an awesome workout!
