I used the C210k by Zen labs it takes you past the 5k all the way to 10k. I paid the $1.99 for it because the adds we're distracting. I recommend that one just in case you want to go farther. Good Luck

I say if you feel good after your shift go for it! I've worked the night shift on and off for the past 18 yrs I usually workout in the fitness center on my lunch hour and do my runs in the morning (which is really afternoon ) when I wake up because I can't stand the "DreadMill!" :-)

I bought a pair of the Brooks PureFlow a couple of months ago and their great! I switched them out every other run for a couple of weeks then they were fine. However I only run about 3-4 miles 3 times a week. I recommend them all the time they feel great and they did help me cut some time off my runs. :-)

Try slowing your pace and repeat it if you need to. Remember this is supposed to be enjoyment so don't stress out about it you'll get there. Good luck. :-)
