What's happening is that you don't know enough about any of this. You don't know your calorie needs, or how to log properly. You don't understand how exercise factors into this. You don't even know what to ask, because the question is first about not "loosing"[sic] weight and then about losing too much. Read some fitness…

The problem is you don't know enough about the process. There is a fluid flux in the body that makes daily and weekly weigh-ins problematic. Fluids might make your overall weight stay the same even though you're really losing fat. If this continues to frustrate you, I recommend bi-weekly weigh-ins, under the same…

Good for you for making such great progress. I'm no doctor, or any sort of medical professional, and I'm not in a position to give medical advice. I'd get your pain checked out. My guess is that your dietary restrictions have caused this. I understand and appreciate what I imagine your reasons are for being vegan, but one…

Hi, active user here with log-in streak over 400, add if you want.

More protein and fat, as others have said. But, hunger may never go away. Imagine someone in my position who, if allowed, would consume 6000-8000 calories per day if his diet was guided by hunger alone. I'm hungry all day, every day. My brain completely lies to me about what I need each day. Learn to accept hunger as an…

You're new, and that's great. Good for you for making the first step. First, read this: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1161603/so-you-want-a-nice-stomach/p1 Someone else linked it, and I wanted to emphasize that this is good advice. The path you're embarking on now is unlikely to be sustainable. What most…

Maybe, but I'm not a health professional. I recommend seeing a dietician (NOT a nutritionist).

Most of these people don't know what they're talking about or are prescribing methods that will get you nowhere, fast. My credentials: I weigh 165 and squat over 400 (full depth). Get the book Starting Strength 3rd Edition by Mark Rippetoe. This book is the best place to start out lifting weights, as it explains very well…

I'm so extremely jealous of this. If I stuffed myself to satisfaction each day I'd be eating probably 8000 calories. Even on the days when I eat well in excess of 3000 calories (rare, but they happen) I'm not even close to full. Agh it's so unfair.

Bench is my favorite, even though the squat is my best lift pound for pound. I enjoy the deadlift, but it's not very good (basically the same as my squat).

Feel free to add. I log my food, lift weights, and am overall an active user (tomorrow will be a 425 day streak).

Whether you believe you can or you can't, you're right.

Add me, I'm an active member (410 day streak!)

Ah, the daily "What am I doing wrong?!" post. Here are the major questions you need to answer: 1. Have you calculated your TDEE? 2. How much weight per week do you want to lose? 3. Are you eating the appropriate number of calories? 4. Are you accurately weighing and logging your food?

I absolutely love Budget Bytes! http://www.budgetbytes.com/ The author is a number cruncher who makes great food, updates often, and emphasizes a budget-conscious approach.

reddit.com/r/getmotivated Or watch videos of people stronger than you lifting weights.

Neither of you are wrong. Novices with a bunch of extra fat can do both without a problem. As you get more advanced with your lifts and leaner, you'll have to choose if you want to bulk or cut.

Today it'll be Chipotle. Burrito bowl with brown rice, black beans, peppers and onions, double chicken, medium salsa, corn salsa, and lettuce. Just ~800 calories. Lots of sodium, but I'm active and drink a lot of water so that doesn't matter.

Is there an FAQ or something for people who don't understand the process? This type of question gets asked several times per day. "I lose weight when I'm happy but I don't when I'm sad, what am I doing wrong?" "I've been exercising hard and eating clean for two days and I haven't lost weight is it my metabolism?" If there…

This is a troll everybody move on.

Yep. You need a daily deficit of 1000 calories per day. To do that, you need to know how much you burn each day (Total Daily Energy Expenditure, or TDEE), subtract 1000 from that number, and not eat more than that. To ensure that's what you're doing, you have to weigh, measure, and track your food. That food is better if…

Pick up Starting Strength - 3rd Edition. Do what our barbell lord and savior Mark Rippetoe asks of you, add in some upper body accessory lifts. Rejoice in your new muscly frame.

I eat ice cream every day, as well as cake and other sweets with regularity. I'm still losing weight because I just budget them into my day's calories. No particular food/drink, diet coke included, can be blamed for anything weight loss related if your calories are where they should be.
-
Well OP you're not a troll it looks like, you just don't know what to do. I see guesses in your diary. Things like cauliflower fried rice that is assuredly more than 200 calories if it involves fried rice. To know what you're eating you have to either cook your own food so you can keep track of the ingredients or you have…

It's a troll everybody, just ignore and move on. OP, if you're actually not a troll, open up your diary so we can all see. Usually in these situations the logging method is wrong. My guess is at your daily job (the rest of us dearly wish we had one) you go to the cafeteria, get a burger, then log it as Generic -…

Yep, the day of my 365 day streak. I was expecting to dazzle and amaze everyone with my commitment but noooo MFP had to have site problems. Maybe I'll eat an entire large pizza to feel better. Yes, that will solve the problem.

Fitbit overestimates calories based on activity. By numbers alone I should have been losing a pound a week for some time, with a 500 calorie daily deficit. I was losing at the rate of a 200 calorie deficit (much more slowly). My metabolism is normal, and I was logging my foods. Fitbit was the culprit, and researching this…
