I would not look to Eat to Live as a diet but more as a lifestyle because it can be seen as very restrictive. If you are already mostly vegan or vegetarian then it would be a good way to transition to a plant based diet and rid your diet of processed foods.

I am in the same boat as you. I eat some fish and cheese but no eggs, chicken, pork or beef. I found that allowing some fish and cheese made it a whole lot easier to eat the occasional meal out.

I asked this question at a weight watchers meeting once and the leader told me not to worry, that I wont gain weight by eating too much lettuce. It is good to be cautious about what you are eating but dont over stress.
