  • Thank you. I bought a stepper that i use in the evening. I have been trying to get 10,000/day. That helps. I am lazy and i like my tv shows. I can get up during a commercial break and get in around 300 steps. And there are bands attached that i use to work my biceps and triceps. Hopefully that will help. I love the stepper…
  • I had my thyroid checked several years ago. Maybe if i try some of the suggestions here and get no results i'll do that again. Thank you.
  • I think on the buffalo wings i was trying to find an entry that made sense calorie-wise. I don't remember that entry, but i do remember about what i ate. I've never eaten 10 wings. We air fry our wings and they are pretty small. i probably had 3 drumettes and a flat. How would you calc calories on that? I hate counting…
  • Thank you both for your input. And congratulations SueSueDio on your weight loss/maintenance. I will try to be more vigilant on weights/measurements. With the exception of a beer or glass of wine occasionally, i try to only drink water. I aim for 60 oz a day and it's a struggle. For the record - I thought i was trying to…
  • The salads are side salads in restaurants. Can't measure/weigh. Lettuce, tomato, cucumber and maybe a little shredded cheese. I try to pick what's on the list that seems reasonable. Thank you. I need to buy a scale
  • I don't think so. I just have a weekly injection of Avonex. I think I looked into that before, I'll check again. Thank you
  • I am 55 yrs old, 5'7'' - 205 lbs. My MS doesn't cause physical issues other than fatigue. I try to fight through that as best as i can. I've grown so thick around the middle in recent years. I used to always have a smaller waist. I'm fairly confident with my measurements of food for the diary - i admit i don't eat the…
  • I was diagnosed in 2011 - my primary physical issue is random weakness in my legs. I've just started back on MFP - it keeps me honest and active. A lot of things that i read talk about exacerbations caused by overheating so i'm a little nervous about working out. I've recently started a routine (that i've actually stuck…
  • Hello fellow MS'ers. I too have MS - I'm 50 and trying (again) to focus on a more healthy lifestyle. I was diagnosed 2 years ago and have probably gained 25 lbs in that timeframe. Not sure if it is age, medication (Avonex), or the MS. I go through phases of exercising - I tend to start off with a bang and then ease up…
  • I don't get hungry and i get full very quickly. I try to snack throughout the day (trail mix and cheese sticks mostly) but I don't always remember to do it because i don't get hungry. ...and I'm trying to drink enough water and it fills me up!
  • Anywhere from 1200 to 1600 -
  • Thank you - I also have a membership to a local gym. I go in the morning and do my 30 minutes of elliptical - would it be best to trade off every other day for weight training? Or should I add the weight training to my existing 30 - 60 minutes /day? They have a lot of equipment that i could incorporate into a weight…
  • I have a small set - two "dumbells" and weights that add up to I think 30 lbs. probably 2's, 3's and 5's? I haven't opened the box in a while. I also have a set of two 5 lb hand weights.
  • I have a set of hand weights at home - what do you suggest?
