  • Sounds like a good idea. My goal is to lose 11 lbs. to reach my weight when I met my wife. Currently I'm at 186 and I want to get down to 175. My goal for New Years Day was actually 185 (down from 208) so I only missed that goal by 1 lb. (which is fine with me, since I lost over 20 lbs. since October. Good luck…

  • I would suggest you buy Dannon Light & Fit yogurt...each cup has only 60 calories, and they are delicious, with many different flavors.
  • I agree, I'm not saying eat 6 full meals a day, just snack on something light and low cal to keep yourself from binging and smaller core meals. I don't think we are in dissagreement there.

  • on the same note, I have weighed myself before and after taking a shower, and noticed that i weight MORE after a shower! I'm assuming I'm absorbing the water, but I'm not sure. Anyoen else notice this?
  • I'm doing the snack when you get hungry diet, and have lost 14 lbs. doing it. Of course if you are snacking on donuts or something like that you are going to gain weight. I eat all day, multiple low calorie snacks (Fat free yogurt, sugar free jello, fruits and vegetables) and I have to say, it seems to work pretty damn…

  • I eat tons of those peppers, and they are super low in calories. One warning, I found a worm in one of my peppers yesterday :embarassed: Better than half a worm right? Well to be fair, its actually a catepillar of some sort, and I found it chomping on the seeds in my pepper (I bit just the tip and saw it in their all the…
  • Medford, Oregon huh! I grew up in the other "famous" Medford....Medford, NJ
  • If you like crunchy veggies, I highly recommend Master's Touch Vine Sweet Mini-Peppers...I chomp on those all day. You can eat like 10 of those and still not have more than 60-70 calories. Very filling too..
  • if you like peppers (no one else I know seems to like them, other than myself) I suggest you get the Master's Touch Mini-Vine Sweet Peppers
  • fruits and veggies are always good...gotta get that fiber to keep you fool too! Plus I bet you can eat tons of them all day, and still not eat enough to equal a few cookies or brownies from your job. There is also sugar free jello, which has 10 cals, and sugar free jello pudding with 60 cals. Dannon also has some great…
  • I too woke up today and found myself 10 lbs lighter than when I started my diet....its a great feeling! Congratulations!
  • Thats great! You need to go to a buffet now and celebrate
  • sunny miami :)
  • Actually, I am an East coaster  I just keep really bad sleeping hours!
  • I'm not an expert with slimfast, but aren't you also supposed to eat at least one meal when you are on this diet? Having only 4 slimfasts a day, seems extremely dangerous, especially burning all of those calories. Its not a surprise you were blacking out :|
  • Here are a few more I have found in the past few days, while searching for the food I've been eating. http://www.calorieking.com/ http://www.peertrainer.com/
  • well considering you have to come back at least 3 times a day to log what you need to eat, it is easy to get addicted. I don't think MIKE minds, since sticky sites = added advertising revenue for him :)

  • CalorieKing is a great site, thanks for the link. The "Resources & Tools" are particularly helpful!
  • Boca Burgers are a good alternative also, but you have to admit, they don't cook quite the same as real meat. They almost seem to melt like plastic on a frying pan too and there is a bit of an after taste. Of course check out both and see what you think...

  • I found a great website for getting all of the nutritional facts for 70,000 types of food. http://calorielab.com/index.html Very useful for foods that are not in the database already. Would be great to use asite like this for standardized portions/nutrition facts. -Brandon
  • Thanks :)
  • My wife is hypoglycemic and I'm lactose intolerant, so when she cooks, she doesn't use much sugar and no milk (for both of our sakes). Anyhow, she bakes a mean Pumpkin-Banana Pie (because I love both bananas and pumpkin pie) and no one can ever tell it is lactose and mostly sugar free. In fact, for the past 3 years, I have…
  • Here are a few nifty sites for determining calories burnt during different activities. http://www.healthstatus.com/calculate/cbc http://www.coolnurse.com/calories_burned.htm hope they help!
  • just a thought...perhaps we are substituting the desire (or addiction) to eat, with using the website...hmm...(guess its better than being addicted to MySpace and Facebook!!!)

  • My wife and I just had our second son two weeks ago, and she joined weight watchers to help her with the baby weight. Since men gain baby weight too (we do really) I figured, I'd try to do the same, but didn't feel like paying extra for the program. So I checked out free calorie counting programs, and signed up for this…
