Bump! I'm in week 4 of c25k, would love to have more of you lovelies on my newsfeed. Also as for the above post, I use c25k by Zen Labs... the advertisements don't have audio so I don't really notice them.

I'm a dog-loving omnivore over here :) Feel free to add me!

WORK THAT UPDO. Also, are you proposing, or shall I? :D Anyways, if pony tails are sexy, that's news to me. IMO it's just the easiest thing to do with long hair when working out, especially doing cardio.

Try using a weighted hula hoop, run, lift weights (at home, lift books or cats or whatever you have lying around)

Similar to another poster, I used flavored almond milks and soy milks when looking to cut back on cream in my coffee. As someone who exclusively drinks 2%, it required a bit of time to adjust. (At first, I added more almond milk to compensate for the lack of cream.) But as you adjust, many people find that they need less…

Bump. I loved reading this :)

No before/after pictures yet. I spent my first year doing mostly cardio and infrequent, light weights. Not surprisingly, I didn't end up with the super strong, well-toned body that I desired. I'm pretty much done losing weight and am focusing on building strength and endurance. (Read: weights and running) Feel free to send…

I love you :)

Hmm... my favorite places to check for recipes are allrecipes.com and skinnytaste.com. (Or supercook.com for days when I have a handful of ingredients that I don't know what to do with.) But for family-friendly cookbooks, try checking out the huge Taste of Home cookbook or Better Homes and Gardens Anyone Can Cook. (I know…

Try eating vegetarian for 3-4 days a week. My boyfriend and I recently started eating vegetarian about 5 days a week... it's remarkable how much we've saved on groceries!! Also, I know it's a lot of time and effort, but do you make meal plans for the week? We started making meal plans back in September/October. It's been…

Depends on what you want by "relatively lower calorie/fat" dinners... For example, I made apple almond chicken salad earlier this week. 4 servings, one cup of chicken salad. 405 calories, 15 carbs, 20 fat, 39 protein. http://www.jasonandshawnda.com/foodiebride/archives/4145/ (I didn't make the homemade mayo, I used 5 tbsp…

First, this is my experience as an onlooker. I've had five friends who have done the 5--2 diet. Two stuck with it religiously for two-three weeks. Two dropped it after a week(ish, maybe two) but then restarted it later on. One stopped logging in to MFP and deleted her account entirely. Pros: - Most of them said that the…

We spend about $100 every two weeks, give or take $20... this is for two people and includes most additional stuff, like cleaning supplies and health products. We probably spend a little over $200 a month on groceries. But, this doesn't include dog food, eating out, or vitamins/supplements. Can't wait until it's farmer's…

Look! A dead horse appears!

Buy a food processor :) I finally bought one last month and I could kick myself for not getting one sooner. Chopping vegetables and grinding nuts is an absolute breeze now!
-
BUMP :) I'll contribute later!

Track or yoga pants and a tee shirt... I don't have the money to fund nice workout attire haha

A bowl of cheesy vegetable chowder and an apple or two :) yum, nothing better than warm food on a cold day!

So what if this woman's body doesn't meet your standard of beauty? There is a lot to be said for a woman who can stand confidently in front of the world (read: the internet) in lingerie and be proud of her figure. This woman loves her body and she is proud of her body. I daresay a great many people on this site joined MFP…

IMO you can't go wrong with a salad, soup, and a few breadsticks! Also, avoid the paninis! I tried one a few weeks back, thinking it would be a safer bet than pasta -- I was wrong haha. Enjoy your meal :)

I had a homemade breakfast burrito - egg, cheese, onion, bell pepper, a few slices of bacon, and a little bit of salsa on top. Yum :)

My goal is to be able to rock a Wonderwoman costume, Lynda Carter style.

I made these this week.. they're pretty darn tasty. They're homemade granola bars. I made mine in an 8x8 pan.. you'll look at a serving and go "WTF? No way that's filling." But I ate two for breakfast every day this week with a glass of milk and was full until lunch.…

Now, I don't want to get shot for blasphemy here... but if you're craving buffalo wings but don't want to splurge on calories or cash, buffalo cauliflower bites work really well. I tried this recipe last week and it was pretty tasty: http://www.skinnytaste.com/2013/01/spicy-buffalo-cauliflower-bites.html#more

hehehe, definitely my favorite response yet :)
-
What's your source for this?
-
1.5 servings of Skinnytaste's Homemade Chewy Granola Bars, a HUGE clementine, a cup of coffee (sweetened with milk and sugar), and two glasses of water... 409 calories. Can't wait to read through and get some new ideas for breakfast :)

Yum, thanks for sharing :)

21 and in grad school here... I feel your pain. I'm about to send you a friend request! Anyone else is more than welcome to add me as well :)

Thanks for sharing :) I was just thinking about making rice pudding soon...
