  • I hate to revive a dead thread BUT one thing that someone could do to help is use weightlifting gloves with wrist straps. Wrap the strap around the bar you are gripping and it will ease some of the tension on the fingers. I sometimes find it VERY difficult to make a fist the day after lifting heavy.
  • Sorry if this is a dumb question but does this mean that the HRMs are best suited for steady cardio activities? Would they be relatively accurate for it?
  • Over or under as long as it is present!
  • Congrats! I remember my first. Just be sure to not make it your last! Keep up the great work!
  • Somehow, some way I am in remission! I have done nothing different except stay on the combo of meds I have been on for several months. I guess our bodies are weird like that!
  • 5'6" 173? Unless you are a body builder I don't understand why you want to maintain. I'm thinking your ideal weight would be between 140-150. I agree with everyone else. You are taking in too many calories. I'm a 5'10", 198lb man and my BMR is 1930. I really don't think yours is right. Maybe your figure is BMR with…
  • I've been in a Colitis flare off and on for about 4 years. I've been taking Entocort, Lialda and Canasa for about 6 months. I finally got some relief last week when I did a juice fast for a day followed by my normal healthy diet. It seems that the days rest helped me out. I plan to do a days juice fast at least once or…
  • The absolute best way to get there is to first concentrate on distance then work on time. You have to find "your" pace. Most runners will fly out of the gate on their first 5k but it's not long before they run out of steam. If your goal is to run a 5k then you end up working on speed. If it's longer then it's endurance.…
  • Hey guys, I'm Tony. I'm from West Palm Beach, FL but originally from Charlotte, NC. I was diagnosed with UC about 5 years ago and have been in a flare for roughly 4 years of it. It is very tough on me with this because I love to run 5k races and such and the UC is preventing that sometimes. My next step is either…

  • Consistency......there will be times when your weight loss seems to stall. This is perfectly normal. Give it a few weeks and you will see that it starts up again and you may even lose a good chunk afterwards. Make sure you are logging EVERYTHING. It will help when you stall so that you can see what if any changes need to…
  • We all need all the help we can get! Add me if you like!
  • Hey guys! I use to be a personal trainer for Gold''s Gym many years ago followed by about 14 years in nutritional sales. I can honestly tell you that there are no quick fixes or spot treatment for fat aside from liposuction! Fat doesn't discriminate and covers your entire body. It's just that you have more fat cells in…
