Thank you! Thank you all! My weight loss hasn't been superb but five pounds of butter gone, despite having a sprained ankle for two weeks of the challenge. Yay, team!
-
My most important achievement in this challenge has been putting more activity into each day. I deliberately park at the far end of the parking lot. I think about ways to add activity to my day. I make myself get out of the chair...if all else fails I do the housework! :) I haven't seen a ton of weight loss yet but I'm a…

The yoga video is lovely! If you liked it there is a 40 min version on youtube. shilpayoga should find it for you.

I have lost three inches from my waist and 2.5 from my hips. I took a photo at the beginning, and will be taking another one this week. Too busy today to go and find the same or similar clothes and do it, but will definitely do it. I feel different, so I hope I look different also.

Sorry to say that I won't be doing the kettlebell challenge as all that dynamic motion will be too hard on my joints. I did the figure 8 squats at the beginning but can't do the shoulder stuff.

1. logging both food and exercise everyday keeps me mindful of what is necessary for me 2. doing what I could of the challenges despite a sprained ankle and a bum knee 3. forgoing a box of chocolate drumsticks in the freezer. I probably would have caved if it weren't for the challenge; but I put it back. Two things I want…

I love pierogies and onions with bacon and sour cream. I love the saltiness of the bacon, the creaminess of the cream and the strong onion and cheese flavour. I can lighten it up by using 0% sour cream, and leaving out the bacon from time to time. Onions are soooooooo good and good for you. BTW, I figure all food is…

My favourite egg recipe is Tortilla Española, simple, but not easy. http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/tortilla-espanola-spanish-omelet-recipe.html The trick is in the flipping.

Hurray! Went for my first walk around the block since spraining my ankle. Slow going, but I hope to pull my weight a little more this week than last!
-
I'm really frustrated by my ankle injury. It limits what I can do severely. So, sorry team to be letting you down. I'm doing the challenges I can, but you won't see me planking anytime soon. I'm hoping to be able to get back on the exercise bike soon, but I overdid it on my feet yesterday, so am a bit afraid to even try.…

Arggh! I sprained my ankle! This is not going to help my stats. Luckily I was very busy before I hurt myself. With any luck I'll be back at it next week. I think I can still do my squats and start the arm challenge; but long walks are out. I guess I'll just have to get creative!
-
Woohoo! One inch off the waist!
-
Hey! All those squats are paying off! Stairs are easier, pants look better. I feel stronger!

I can avoid sugar really easily except for the teaspoon in my coffee. Yesterday, I had one cup without. But I can't really claim any points for this. However, I have lost 2.2 lbs, and I am pretty sure avoiding refined foods had a lot to do with it. So, even though I can't claim points, I'm seeing the benefit!

At last I have some time to get in some serious minutes. Lots of walking on tap. Have done 75 squats and it's not 5:00 am yet. Thank you, four cups of coffee yesterday. Hmmmm....something else to get under control.
-
So, let me get this straight. On days on which we post on the thread and say something positive on someone's wall we add two points to our minutes?

Am just starting the squat challenge--Day 3; don't know how much of the arm challenge I can manage, but I'll give it a shot when I get home from work tonight. I love the dance roadblock. The dog is not so sure....she barks at me when I do squats or dance at her. :D . Three Greek items today; honey sweetened Greek yogurt;…

I'm going to do the Mamma Mia dance every day! Such fun!
-
Ha Ha! Just tried the roadblock dance. Going to be doing this one in private for sure! :D

Hey, team! Looking forward to our group effort!

Hi, I'm Chris, 57 years of age, and an on-again, off-again MyFitnessPal devotee. My immediate goal is to look nice at my brother's wedding at the end of May; my next goal is to have lost 25 lbs by the end of September, and my ultimate goal is to get below 170 lbs and stay there. I'm one of those people with bad knees, so I…

And ME! I'd like to be on a team with Bons92 if possible.

Wonderful achievement!

Good for you!

Congratulations! I'm inspired!

Start with one class of stuff you don't want, take it to the local food bank and replace it with the good stuff. I have found it is best to work into this by gradually getting rid of the most refined grains (ie pasta) and replacing them with higher protein and more vegetables. I've ended up eating a modified version of…

Inspirational! You are the kickstart I needed to see today to get me back on track. You've done a great thing for yourself:smile:

I'd take anything more than a twenty straight to the cops.
