I'll friend you. I don't find this annoying at all as this is the first time I viewed this post...lol Good for you for stepping up and choosing to live a healthy lifestyle by proper nutrition and exercising. :D

definately eating breakfast about an hour before exercising and drinking some water works for me
-
Agreed
-
Thank you for this statement. I think we get enough protein from our diet.
-
I usually eat most of mine back because mfp has you at a lower calorie amount so your already losing.
-
Awesome thread thank you
-
My apologies if I offended anyone.

I meant a genuine "thank you" because I truly believe you should eat every 4 hours. I don't mean eating full meals either. With MFP you can still get your calories in by eating every 4 hours. It's all about choices of what your eating.

Thank You Thank you! :)

I've never read the studies either. With exercising and having an active day this works well for me.

You need breakfast every day and to eat about every 3-4 hours to keep your metabolism up. Metabolism up means burning calories and running your body effeciently. Kinda like a car needs gas to run. Wierd anology but it's the only one I can think of right now. Here's to wishing you good health.

I totally agree with this statement.

I was on the south beach diet before and like mfp it teaches you moderation and proportions. Also to cook more at home as they have great recipes. One I use constantly is the olive oil mixture with mixed vegetables roasted. This always goes over well for dinner parties. It's a great diet and drink lots of water on it as…

Also are you keeping a daily journal. It really helps to get it out on paper so there's less to think about and it is a bit of a mental release. If your having a bad day or for any day just write it down at night and read it back to yourself and you will see if there's a pattern of what sets your anxiety off or makes you…

Have you tried Vitamin "B" vitamins? I find that takes the edge off. Vitamin B6-B12 is a good one.
-
I really like your take on this. Thank you

Hey I think you pretty darned good for a mama of six! Woweee you've been through alot especially with six You'll feel better in no time once you start tracking your efforts and food diary. Don't worry about the scale as it will go up and down and may sabatage the feeling you want. Take your measurements instead. This…

I would eat more fiberous foods such as lots of vegetables and some whole grains. this will satuate your hunger and keep you at an even keel. Once you start eating a bit differently you'll notice that you might be less hungry. Exercise is key to getting healthy as well. Start by walking 20 - 30 minutes a day will benefit…
-
I totallly agree with this. I also found more cardio helped overcome my obsacle of plateau.
-
"You can get loads of fibre from veggies and not fall into the carbohydrate trap at all." This comment lsaid it perfectly. You can still eat fruit just load up on the veggies. Good luck to you

This is why MFP is so great. l You don't have to be on a diet, but you can monitor what you eat. Portion control and eerything in moderation is key! MFP helps you do this by tracking your nutrients etc. Don't forget to exercise. Our grandparents never really exercised as their living means were quiet different and they…

Well said post. There's no way I can stick to 1200 cals a day with exercising. You need to eat your exercise calories to stay nourished. Thank you for posting this. cheers
